AceMcbanon January 28, 2004 Share AceMcbanon Member January 28, 2004 I currently have integrated geforce4mx and need a temp replacement untill i can get a high end card. Looking for a good used card for a decent price. Must be willing to allow me to pay in two payments over two months for it as well with paypal being easiest for me. I know lunk has one and just seeing who else out there has a good card they don't need any longer.

[Mmmm]Homer March 20, 2004 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member March 20, 2004 Geforce4 Ti-4600 that kicked some 9800 XT butt (CoDBench): And another so you can see the installed clearances: Of course it helps to have a cpu that can push it. It's around a $120 card nowadays with a $35 Zalman heatsink I just put on it because the stock fan was going out. It is totally silent and you just need some moderate air circulation through your case to keep it cool. Comes with Y cable for S-Video IN/OUT, plays movies great! I'd entertain $135, I'll pay shipping. I got the following numbers from this card, with the following setups: 3DMark2001 = 10,229 XP2400+ (266mhz fsb) AT7 Max 512mb PC2700 DDR GeForce4/Ti4600 2x WD SE RAID 0 SB Live 5.1 Win XP Pro ============================================== 3DMark2001 = 14,112 (this with the Zalman heatsink on it) Asus K8V Deluxe A64/3000 @ 220mhz fsb, 2200mhz core 512mb PC3200 DDR GeForce4/Ti4600 2x WD SE RAID 0 SB Live 5.1 Win XP Pro --------------------- CODBench RESULTS --------------------- FILE: CODb_031304_215130.txt START TIME: Saturday, March 13, 2004 09:51:30 PM COMMENT: first run BENCHMARK SETUP: ---------------- DEMO: Timedemo1 CFG FILES RUN: Normal High Maximum RESOLUTIONS RUN: 1024x768 NUMBER OF RUNS: 3 times. Birdman March 20, 2004 Share Birdman Member March 20, 2004 Homer,Mar 20 2004, 02:12 AM] Geforce4 Ti-4600 that kicked some 9800 XT butt (CoDBench): What brand Geforce 4 is that homer? I cant seem to match the color of the pcb up with any manufacturer. ASUS or Chaintech maybe? Pine?
[Mmmm]Homer March 20, 2004 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member March 20, 2004 It's a Chaintech. I added a pic to show it installed above. Yeah, the appeal of this particular card would be to someone that wants a silent solution. I'd like to reuse it in another system I'll build for myself in a few months, but if it fit the bill for a community member I'd let it go.
