^^^^^^ the power supply in that case sux.

 

A buddy of mine got a case with one of those power supplies in it and it died last week.

 

He got the thing in a case back in december.

 

So the thing lasted just over 2 months.

 

And it wasnt even in a power hungry system.

 

THe specs on the system it was in weren't too impressive and the power supply still couldnt handle it.

I just RMA'd my Gigabyte K8N Pro. The USB controller was messed up, and then the LAN was starting to get flaky on me. Grrrrr! I really liked the Silicon Graphics RAID chip, seemed quite fast.

 

I now am running an Asus K8V Deluxe. Kinda tricky on the RAID setup to find the right drivers - there are 2 different RAID controllers. No problems!

 

P.S. I would go SATA drive if you are getting new, instead of IDE.

i will look into the the HD's some more. yes im keeping my old video cards. so ill have a geforce 4 ti 4600 128mb and a gefroce fx5950 256mb to choose from. ah life is grand. i have a dvd player in my room so i have no need for a dvd drive, but i can get one from work if i ever need one.
