Yeah, it ran on my old 750mhz duron, but not nearly as well as it dees now. One of the things I love about it is the ability to go literally anywhere on the map. Also, when you play the various single, and multi player missions, a mission may start out with the same soldiers in the same initial locations, but after you deal with them, the re-inforcements very often come from a different location, or use a different tactic, such as arriving in a truck, or an APC, or even a squad approaching through a forest. Also the visuals, and in my opinion, the gameplay hold up very well even after 4 years. The terrain, vehicles, and people look realistic enough that the game really doen't look "dated" to me. You might also be able to find copies on Amazon (or another internet retailer), or from Codemasters directly.

If you need someone to take the bullets so you can plant, I could be available. I'm not the best player out there by far, but if you look like you're going to be short, lemme know and I'll be there. Anyone still playing this game? Great tactical fps, with multiplayer support. Have a couple friends who alos play it, and it'd be cool to get a larger online game going sometime.

I was looking at both the mx1000, and the G5, as well as the Razer Diamondback, and the mx518 when upgrading my mouse recently. Ultimately went with the mx518 from Monarch Computers (thank for sponsoring FF05 - and yes, i mentioned that to them ) Main reasons for going with the 518 were price and the way it fit my hand. I love the 518. I actually lived through some rounds of cs:s on mapnight last night, and got some kills in knife attack which was an extra bonus. I had never really given much thought to the mouse, but this thing destroys the old basic mouse I'd been using for years. Still trying to get used to the sensitivity, but getting there.

As far as I know, the only way to join a clan and not have a cape, is to find a clan that hasn't already bought a cape. However, if you need any help in the game, please don't hesitate to ask me. If I'm on, and available I'd be more than happy to help you. I have some missions out that way right now anyway. Guildie or not, I'll help a friend out anytime I can. Also, the Gathering Order has a hall now, for those who are interested. Drivethru, I'll add you to the invite list, that way you'll see a msg when you get on.

Congrts Batty!! ANd the euchre story reminds me of various card parties where the wife and our friends and I have been drinking, and something like that usually happens. Either one person repeatedly deals, or one team just passes the deal between themselves to see how long it goes till the other team realizes they haven't dealt in a while, lol. Usually, I'm on the dealing team , but just a couple weeks ago after discussing how people can't steal the deal from me, my wife proceeded to do just that.

I've got a guild one there, called Gathering Order. JackieChan, and Bushmaster are also members. Small guild, but the people are friendly. I haven't been on much the last week since things have gotten crazy at work, then I went out of town last weekend, but things should be returning to normal soon. Add my to your friends list as Lord Wolfsblood, and if I'm online when you are, shoot me a message, and let me know you're GC, and all will be good. Our guild mainly seems to be interested in advancing through the story, but I know there are members who like the pvp stuff, and are interested in possibly some gvg, but that's not required. Well, not exactaly "late" in the year, but for the past few years I've been helping my nephews Scout troop on their various camp outs. Have twice spent the weekend camping in the snow at Klondike on, or about the 3rd weekend in January. Two years ago, the high temp for the weekend was 14 degrees F. At those temps, you leave the contact lenses in if you want to see where you're going the next day, lol. Also camped in Feb with them, and also in late October. Apparently they think that being cold is fun. It's a lot of fun, if you have the cold weather gear and you stay dry. You get wet, it's all over, you're miserable. The kids love it, and there is something very cool about sitting around a campfire, in a Russian-style black fur hat, watching the snow fall all around.

*Hopes Batty's wife doesn't read the forums, or he might not make it to next week, let alone next FF! lol

Heh, I'm scared of the price of them. Plus, the lcd's we have at work ghost, but then again, thay're stock HP 1502, and 1702's, and they're never used for gaming.

Hehe, thanks for the tips guys. My dad has been having problems with NAV (which he has un-installed because he's using a better (imo) AV proggy; AVG by Grisoft), but the remnants of NAV weren't allowing him to install some things. I copied the suggestions, and fired off an email to him. I'll let you know if it helped him.

Wow, that sucks. Never heard of that happening before. The Expert kit is only like 400gp. THe gold doesn't even work like DIablo, you can't "drop" it as far as I know. Bummer. Give me a yell in game sometime, and we'll try to hook up. Maybe I can help you out a bit if ya need it. :/
