  4. Desert Combat, a mod for BF1942 still in its alpha stage, is AAWESOME!!!!!!! ALthough I've bought BF1942, I never play it... kinda like Half-life... I don't play the original game just CS DC has M4A1 Abrahm's Main Battle Tanks vs the Soviet made T-72, Bradley fighting vehicles, Humvee's, AH-64 Apache gunships, Blackhawks, Mig29's, Hind Helos, F-16's and the Harrier jump jet. I have my own complaints about the FPS gameplay(when on foot) with this engine... its definetely not CS, it just feels weird, but the vehicles man... the vehicles are what its about. But as awesome as all the vehicles are. a crafty Engineer with his Mortar and an Anti-Tank Infantry Soldier with his Stinger missles are deadly to any piece of armor or aircraft coming by. But BF/DC is VERY taxing on your machine and will use all of its resources. Online play is rough as well.... it max's out your connection. but it is an AWESOME game. my 2 cents add 38.97 to that and you got what I paid for it.
  5. hey hey- I recently installed a second hardrive in my new machine that I salvaged from my moms old comp. SO now I have a 80 gig and a 10 gig HD How do I enable the RAID utility? Is it possible with two harddrives that aren't the same size? I have no clue about this except the concept of Striping(is that the right term when the info is shared between the two HD's) HELP
  6. Back to the movie... (only b/c my knowledge of carz is wickedly limited) ...did anyone else think that it paralleled Point Break almost to a T? A tight knit group of close buddies commit crimes to finance their play time: 90's = Point Break = Surfing = lots of people all of a sudden want to learn to surf (atleast in the tiny town of IL I grew up in) 00's = FnF = Street Racing w/ bad donkey cars = lots of people in my home town wanting to buy cars they can mod and race. No one wants to surf no more, or its become "cliche". Curious what movie in the 10's will spark the next craze. PS: not putting the movies down at all, they were both entertaining and had bad actors... ...just noticing a developing pattern. PPS: Although I know nuthin about the choices... I'd go with the RX-8, just because.
  7. I think they had an unfair advantage being able to sit next to each other... they could share screens and talk quietly without giving away positions, where as we had to call everything out across the room... need more towers. ANyway, just got it installed on my computer and am practicing my timing and troop micromanagement. Should be ready for a Battle Royale sometime after Fathers Day. Also, DJ may be a nice addition to the war as I know he plays when he gets a chance if he ain't to busy. DAGU!!! Ready to Work!

Our good friend Maggie won't be back at his computer for a few more days... his week long vacation got extended due to extenuating circumstances... by extenuating I mean a Pathfinder extenuated right into his VW Passat.... no worries he's ok(Thank God for airbags and that goatee of his), but he's stuck in MI for a few more days. Be nice when he gets in and let him knife ya few times it'll make him feel better
  9. Well... Chief, as you know, I drive a Toyota... and have been driving one for aobut two years now. 95 Toyota Camry SE Sedan. Comfy ride, and does great on long trips as well as in the city. The SE part comes with sports package stuff... something about suspension... and the V6 comes standard in that years model.... I think. Anywho it performs well in the city and I've been told the depreciation value of the Camry is among the best out there (They hold their value better than most cars) I like it. 156,000 miles and runnin strong. Neveer had any problems. i change the oil religously aevery 3,000 - 3,100. I hope to have it last to about 200,000 miles and I'll send a picture to toyota... hopefully they can hook me up with something at the F1 race if its still in Indy when that happens. Its a nice economic, prctical, sturdy car that performs well enough in Chicago traffic(I still smoke Cabbies). Now an M3 will blow me away anyday of the week and on Sunday, but there aren't many places in Chicago where you can do that... (fully utilize the 3.9 sec 0-60)especially with our traffic. Wow can you tell I don't have much to do at work... Been typing for awhile now... <tosses two cents on the table>
  10. eah I gotta find my install disk to put it on my new machine. Hopefully I can check it out thsi week sometime.
  11. woudn't say he runs into alot of stuff... mainly just doors, small furry animals ,and old ladies crossing the street.
  12. Hey everyone- Hate to seem like a solicitor but I think this cause is worth it. The following link is to my friend Lionel's donation page for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Lionel Go is a great guy that Magruter and I work with... play golf with... oh and he was an ace in the hole for our bowling team. Anyway his story is on his page... and there are many many many more stories to read. The walk is approximately 40 miles over two days. This year their doing a lap around chicago I think. Last Year they walked to Milwaukee and got shuttled back. If you want to support Lionel, one of the other walkers, or just the cause in general you can at: Avonwalk.org Lionel's Page: http://www.avonwalk.org/site/TR?pg=persona...1022&px=1055940 Thanks for your time and i'll see ya in game

I guess I'd go top three here: 1) F1 driver 2) Musician: Leaning towards a Bob Dylan folk sound but livin the life style of Jimmy Buffett. a concert pianist would be a cool gig too. 3) College Professor with Tenure at oh... lets say the University of the Virgin Islands.... ...or any big ten school... welll anywhere I get the summers off. 17. Being handy ain't really my forte, but I'd say Cars and computers are where I know more about fixin stuff.... can't really do much with a house(as I don't own one) Plumbing and Elec stuff I leave to the professionals. On my old Ford Ranger My dad and i switched out a radiator, starter, alternator, belts, plugs, muffler and catalytic converter and a whole bunch of other things over the course of me and my brothers sharing that work horse. Toughest fix was a routine oil change... except it was in November. My older brother had changed the oil filter the time before and used the wrench to put it on. Needless to say he turned it a little more than hand tight. When i tried to take the filter off, the damn thing crumpled in the wrench. It took my dad and myself almost 6 hours of pounding a metal pike through the filter and turning it a fraction of a centimeter to get that damn thing out. IT WAS COLD! But it felt good to overcome somethin with Dad.
  18. I used to be on e hell of a stick swinger back in the day... don't have the time or money to really get back into my game. But YEAH! I'll play a round or two (like Mag, also depending on when and where) Out of curiousity, I've been outta the game for a few years and haven't kept up with all the technology... whats everyone play with nowadays I'm still hitting my PING Eye 2 Woods... actually made of wood, I also have a set of Great Big Brother (not Bertha) metal woods... I switch back and forth. I like the Eye2 3 for fairways, but the Brother for the Tee shots. For the irons I carry the Tommy Armour 845's Silvey Scot... originals from the mid 90's. I'm putting with a relic of the stone age, but it was gift on my 14th B-day from my dad, and I don't think I'll ever switch it out. I hear Golf ball technology has gone really crazy over the past few years, but back in the day I played Titlest Professionals 100 compression and the HP2's when I couldn't afford the Pros.
  19. Dunno, but I'm positive that he doesn't have a mullet.
  20. THNX FELLAS!!! Happy Birthday to you too Draco! HOping to make it a good one gonna play whirly ball tonight... which like 5 on 5 basket ball, except you use a smaller ball (a taped up wiffle ball) and these small Lacross stick thingys... to shoot. Oh yeah, and you're in bumper cars the whole time, so there is no such thing as a foul. If I remember right Mag was wicked 133t last time we played... ANyone in Chicago, is welcome! PM and I'll give you directions.
  21. Definitly down with camping. and if I may... in response to the LAN picture points on me, my shoes, my Potato Chip eating habits, etc. the funny thing about all that stuff Chief has... he's the kinda guy that knows every technical specification for just about everything he owns. SO I believe he should be able to tell you to what temperature his sleeping bag is good to, the exact area of the tent he's got, how much that backpack can carry (in metric and english units) and well... anything else you might want to know bout any of it. This goes for everything... stereo equipment, cars, guns, computers... if you guys could've been there when he bought that vacuum of his... sheesh lookin forward to the move buddy Mmmmmmm hotdawgs...... aaaaaaahhhhhh

    Well Hello

LOL Wow, what a small little world we live in... I don't really blame Hank McKinnell so much as I do Fred Hassan (the old CEO of Pharmacia) That guy is a punk... ...ok well maybe not a punk, but it just burns me that he sold off a great company like Pharmacia... and screwed over a bunch of hard working people that loved the company they worked for up until the announcement of the sale. What did Freddy Boy get outta of the deal... a 10+ Million dollar severance package and a whole barage of stock options. If there was someone who I wanted to punch in the gut it would be him... but I'm not bitter or anything. anyway, GL ZD with the job hunting!
