I guess im going to wait a few months before jumping into ordering me my AMD 64. I read about the new KT880 chipset and it seems awsome. So, I think im going to wait till I check out some reviews on some of these new mobos that have this chipset. VIA kt880 Another reason for the wait is... the new BTX mobos... hopefully it'll be out soon!!

You could be a total jerk... well, this is what I'd do because I am a jerk. Check to see if you can access other computers sharing the line. it shouldn't be that hard. Then you could just send Virri across the network in hopes that they will change service... or finally decide that they need to do something more "drastic" like get a few extra lines for access. Heck, you could even install some AI, and maybe Skynet can take over and blow up all those ISP that suck.... Oh wait, there goes my active imagination again?! Seriously though, i wouldn't recommend any of what I said... you can get into serious trouble over that. But, I think i'd go talk to the cable company in person like was recommended. I only thought sat. had cards in them.

P4S8X-X, I solved the problem though, I went out and got the Sound blaster Live! 5.1.... So its all good till I get my other PC stuffs...

Something interesting happened while I was switching over cases. My old case, had the mobo wires for the front sound jacks. This new one has the male plugs that you have to run out of a special slot in the back. Anyway, when I switched it all over... My sound didn't work. Frustrated as I was I attempted to figure it out. So by accident I touched the two pins that are for the line out for the front with a screw driver. Sure enough Sound blared through my speakers. So, I touched the other two pins, and it blared again through my speakers. To have sound right now I have 2 jumpers on my mobo so I can actually hear. Anyone know a solution to this? I've tried everything execpt going back to my old case (not an option). And the ONLY way I can have sound is if those pins have jumpers on them... or the the wires attached from my old case.

This morning at 2am, my Cousing Jerry stamper hung himself in his garage... because a girl broke up with him. His brother Bobby stamper found him this morning at 10am. I hope that all of you reading this realise how valuable life is and won't waste yours in such a tragic way... Its just not worth it... *sigh*

Right now im on my little brothers computer, he has complained about his counter-strike crashing when he plays. So i jumped in and played for a bit, and saw the crash. It shows the "Send, don't send" bs thing. And then goes back to desktop. Anyone have a clue as to why it crashes?

Or you could be like me and not know what works for you and want to experiment with the fastest CPUs you can buy.

I think what he ment to ask was, Did you switch from different windows operation systems. Like, say, did you move from fat32 to NTFS. That might cause some problems. I believe I ran into that problem when I was using an an 80 and a 10 gig.
