  1. I just read the conclusion on IGN, sounds like its gonna be great.
  2. Id rather just pay the 54 and get it in my hands tomorrow instead of wait an extra week
  3. BCS standings are out and USC and OU are still the top 2. The AP polls have OU and Auburn tied. The computers are still ranking OU 1, USC 2, Auburn 3. Utah is now sixth which means they will get an automatic bowl bid. Oh, and Wisconson is 13th.
  4. How do they deserve it? OU has the 10th toughest schedule.. Auburn had the 25th and USC has the 37th. OU got done with its toughest games early but Auburn just started. There is no base for that comment. All of OU's toughest games were on the road also, none at home unlike Auburn.
  5. Well, I guess they proved why they shouldn't be #1. It feels good to be right. 5 unbeaten left, but actually 4, since Boise State doesn't really count... you could say 3 if you want to discount Utah. USC is winning against Arizona right now, OU and Auburn dominated. Im pretty sure the standings will be the way they are, Auburn could jump OU, nothing left but to wait.
  6. Im looking for one too, need to do crap loads of research though. What are the best for movies, football games.. and espn. Thats all I watch and am really confused about what would be good. Im actually thinking of getting a projector with a screen and making a little movie theater outta my living room
  7. Not trying to be pessemistic... but I hope it isn't a let down like doom 3
  8. Yep, I looked it up and its Washington and Miami in 91, and Colorado and GT in 90. Great weekend of football coming up, and no the Badgers shouldn't be #1 in your football... and if you want to, I'll prove more reasons why. Also, any more questions about BCS till its the end of the season and we have like 4 undefeated teams and you will find me eating my own words...
  9. Yea, now that you mention it I think both 90 and 91 had split championships, I guess thats why they formed the Bowl Alliance. 90 it was Colorado and Georgia Tech maybe? and 91 Im sure it was Miami and Washington, not Washington State. I'll look it up sometime.
  10. I don't know about earlier but from 92 onwards with the bowl alliance/coalition and BCS: 92: Alabama 93: FSU 94: Nebraska 95: Nebraska 96: Florida 97: 1st ever split with Bowl Coalition: Michigan/Nebraska 98: Tennessee 99: FSU 00: Oklahoma 01: Miami 02: Ohio State 03: 1st ever split with BCS: LSU/USC
  11. Sort of. There was the Bowl Coalition, it was the pretty much the BCS without computers. That started back in 1992, and that ended in 1997, and the BCS we used to know started in 1998, and they tweeked it after last year. So 12 years, not 6 or 7. Last year was the only year that there was ever a split national championship using the BCS, never before and there wasn't controversy before last season, all the years before except for 1997 with the Bowl Coalition, there was a split national championship... and by the way it has worked for years even if you thought it was only from 98 because 7 years... is a lot of years. I think last year worked, if you saw the strenght of schedule OU[3 ranked in schedule] and LSU[3 ranked in schedule] had tougher matchups that USC[who only had 1 ranked team to play in their schedule]. OU won all of its regular season games and lost to a ranked #10 KSU team in the big 12 championship, while USC lost to an unranked Cal. LSU lost to a ranked #17 Florida team. Also, both LSU and OU had to play its conference championship games a game more than USC had to play. What the BCS does is it allows people for all conferences to play in whatever bowl so everyone has a shot to play in the Rose, Orange, Fiesta, and Sugar bowls. They used to be conference based before. Id love to see more weeks of football, but think about it. To think that the playoff system would differ than those of the current BCS system rankings is hard to believe. You still haven't seen the end of the regular season, so you can't argue that any team is going undefeated yet. If by the end of this season, all 6 remain unbeaten, then the system is truely flawed and I agree that there needs to be something better. HOWEVER, this hasn't happened. BCS takes into account what the people usually don't. The system works, it has, and if you look at last season, it worked also. Look at USC's schedule compared to OU's and LSU's.
  12. We don't need a playoff system, this system works. It has worked for years now and will continue to work. Upsets happen, Im feeling that by the end of the regular season, there will only be 1 or 2 undefeated teams, if not any. USC could lose to Notre Dame [15%] Oklahoma could lose to Nebraska or in the Big 12 championship [20%] Auburn could lose to Georgia or SEC Championship [70%] Wisconson could lose to Iowa [30%] Utah could lose to either teams you never know [1%] Boise State won't lose [5%] There are still a lot of weeks of football left.
  13. Again, look at who Purdue averaged so many points against. Not one contender. Its all part of the system that Purdue's offense runs under. Purdue struggled against Michigan the week after also... so its not just Wisconson. Syracuse W, 51-0 | record 3-3 Ball State W, 59-7 | record 1-6 Illinois W, 38-30 | record 2-5 Notre Dame W, 41-16 | record 5-2 Penn State W, 20-13 | record 2-4 and the one loss: Wisconsin (#12) L, 20-17 | record 7-0 overall record was 13 - 20 not including wisconson Minnesota wasn't even ranked in the game, they have been on a steady decline and yes the big 10 is tough but it isn't this season. Minn got dominated by Mich state so what wisconson did wasn't a big deal.
  14. haha, the same USC offense that struggled against Oregon State, got dominated by Cal defensively that almost lost to Oregon which Oklahoma dominated. HAHA, and not to mention the upset they almost had at Standford. Stop looking at games only for 1 week, look at them as the whole season. Also, stop repeating what you heard on college gameday... I will admit the OU's secondary is questionable but Bob Stoops is too good of a coach to let it continue. Once they benched Bassey and burned Walker's redshirt, A&M couldn't get a big play. Our front 4 and linebackers are too good. On a side note, the pac-10 conference is a joke...
  15. Hehe, great times. Did you watch the A&M/OU game, great stuff! No rev, it wasn't because I only played back then, I played a lot on Trop but I really didn't like the attitudes there and wasn't having fun at all. I played a ton but nothing compared to fragging with zap, blackops, ncc, dirk, and the good old days of DOH.
  16. Hahahaha, you all don't have any idea about what your talking about. Since you guys love Wisconson and have so much Badger pride, I think I should show my pride for the Sooners.... First off, lets start out with the opponents Wisconson beat with the opponents record right now and the amount they beat them by: 1) Central Florida 0 - 9 Won by 28 points [Number 1 on the bottom 10 on espn] 2) UNLV 2 - 7 Won by 15 points haha 3) Arizona 2 - 7 Won by 2 points! yea, only OU won close games... 4) Penn State 2 - 7 Won by 13 points... 5) Illinois 3 - 7 Won by 17 points 6) Ohio State 6 - 3 Won by 11 points [first ranked opponent] 7) Purdue 5 - 4 Won by 3 but look at the opponents Purdue beat... only Notre Dame is worthy. With Kyle Orton being a product of the system.. 8) Northwestern 5 - 4 Won by 12 points 9) Minnesota 6 - 4 Won by 24 points TOT OPP RECORD: 32 - 52, big winners here... Now, they played 4 teams with medicore winning records, 5 with losing and they have had close games. With the theory of having close games means not worthy of a championship then Badgers don't deserve it either... They have 2 CLOSE GAMES WITH ONLY 1 RANKED OPPONENT. yea.... sucks that OU and USC are having crappy performances. Ha, you don't have to have me tell you, the BCS computers rank Wisconson 6th... Now, USC is doing really well, they have had tough games but I don't care to list their opponents but since your all knocking on Oklahoma... Oklahoma 1) Bowling Green 7 - 2 Won by 16 Points 2) Houston 3 - 6 Won by 50 points 3) Oregon 5 - 4 Won by 24 points 4) Texas Tech 6 - 3 Won by 15 points, could have been a lot worse but we ran the ball to the middle all in the 4th to not run up the score regardless of thinking we run it up on people.... 5) Texas 8 - 1 Won by 12 points and shut out Texas for the first time since 1982. 6) Kansas State 4 - 5 Won by 10 points 7) Kansas 3 - 6 Won by 31 points 8) Oklahoma State 6 - 3 Won by 3 points at OSU and if you have ever been at a rivarly game, its insane, we killed ourselves in the first half and GAVE them 14 points, but we came back and you can't say we almost lost the games when they didn't even go into overtime. 9) Texas A&M 6 - 3 Won by 7 points. A&M is one of the toughest places to play, we went there, won and again like above you can't say we almost lost if it doesn't even go into overtime. TOT OPP RECORD: 48 - 33 Yep, weak opponents.. tsk tsk we shouldn't be in the championship 1 with a decent winning record, 4 with a good winning record, and 1 with only 1 loss to us. So... thats 6 teams with winning records to 3 without and ONLY 2 GAMES AWAY GAMES AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS resulted in a win with 7 points or less. HAHAHA, hell even when you guys start praising Auburn because Trev Alberts or Lee Corso say so, you forget that they only beat LSU with 1 point and LSU isn't good this year... so everyone has close games, everyone plays sloppy. However, when your a big time team such as USC or OU, you have to put up with people thinking that you have to blow out teams but YOU FORGET, you need close games and you always will. People think they have a really hard schedule... but they don't. Tenn and Georgia are the only ones. LSU isn't. Honstly... everyone here that just saying that Wisconson DESERVES to go to the championship needs to reevaluate their view on the Badgers season. Cal is more worthy, hell, Id even put Texas higher up than them. Also, its obvious for those of you who feel that Oklahoma should have lost haven't watched the games, only highlights... In the championship, its going to be either USC OU or Auburn. USC could lose at Notre Dame, OU can lose in the Big 12 again, and Auburn could lose to Georgia. Now don't get the wrong message from this topic, Im not a close minded fan and I immediatley give credit to any team who deserves it. Purdue was overrated and Wisconson beat a not so great team thus they got thrown into it. They do have a great defense but they haven't been challenged enough.
  17. I miss the old tango and plat crew, who cares about the trop crew, nothing compared to the good old days...
  18. 1) Oklahoma 2) Auburn 3) USC reason: usc = crack pot schedule, pac 10 is a joke
  19. I like this kids humor, stop removing his forum access.. heh
