Been a very long time since I've been around these parts, but plan on playing a bit of CS. Hope to see some of you around in game. Life is always busy with kids and such, but nice to steal away some time to game.

The server just doesn't run very well for me, I have tried different rates and such. I am not sure where retro is located, but I believe it is closer than the other servers I frequent. They are located in Texas ~1500 miles away, I live in Maryland.

I usually only ever get on after 10pm Eastern and the day varies. I tend to play on a couple of other servers that perform much better for me with lag/registration, but sometimes drop in for a few maps. Is the lag issue from the admin plugin you're running as my pings to the server are in the low 30's?

Hey guys - long time no see. I have been playing on and off lately, and I must say the server runs so poorly compared to how it used to be. Registration seems horrible even with a solid ping with a 50/10 internet connetion. Also, the quality of the people pretty much make me not want to even visit anymore. Teams seem constantly stacked, just so people can have their good score. Really sad to see.

I am an Electrical Engineer for a small company on the left coast. A pretty good gig all in all. Work from home or travel around the Eastern parts of the US. It pays the bills and keeps me busy.

I have steam installing CS:S so I can give it another go myself. Been sooooooo long since I played!

The story seems a bit lame, but playing through the first 3-4 missions definately gets you hooked. There are some quirks that I dont like in the campaign. A good example is: you collect x weapons/ammo beat the mission, when you start the next mission you are back to just the machine gun and 300 ammo again. I would still recommend it for anyone that likes 1st/3rd person shooters though.

Did you do the firmware thing for the DVD drive? let me know Yes I did.

It is seamless if the person starts a coop live game. They could in theory play out the entire single player campaign alone in coop. But it must be a coop game for others to join.

I totally agree, hate the change. Hate not being able to afford my ak or deagle with these crazy prices.

I dunno about the skill part, but I could give it a try.

This game is almost upon us. Hopefully I can find a few of you guys with it online to play with. The last trailer I saw for this got me really stoked. If you haven't seen it take a look.

eddie11c I dont get online too often since I modded my 360(cautious), wife did not like me buying so many games =/ so had to do it.
