  1. I used to play wow, and have to say that is just funny. They weren't in any dungeon, just an open area by a lake. It is a remote region though... but just the same, anyone can get there. They should have known better then to do that online. LOL. Also: invisibility is part of the characters, rogues and druids have a form of invisibilty to get the drop on their enemies... BB got it right with the story line though.
  2. Awesome... Very nice bike... once you go two wheels, you will never go back!! 8) watch out for soccer moms on the phone... and dumb cagers... and gravel... and, well... everything. 8) ride safe. Ben
  3. Farmer, I have charter as well. I also had the same problem awhile ago. The first thing they will ask you to do is to take any router that you have off... use your computer straight to the modem... Make sure all your troubleshooting is done without the router. Also, all charter when this problem is happening. Keep a log of what times and such... you should be compensated. I never was able to get anywhere... They kept insisting that it was my computer, even though it was obviously not. I wish you luck. And threatening to leave charter doesn't do anything either... they don't care.
  4. Who has or knows about power/sport boats... I'm thinking about buying one. Just looking for a good place to start my research of them...
  5. LIES!! ALL LIES!! I've witnessed it... 10 times worse then guys... LOL.
  6. I may have to come to FF just to see the warfare of pranks... lol. and laughing at bald people isn't nice... seeing as I am bald, I believe that society should deem male patterned baldness as a handicap... if I'm bald, I at least want a good parking spot... LOL
  7. I only crashed once... and it wasn't my fault... really...
  8. Front brake has been modified... only one rotor there... they took one off... and on a 1000, that is just silly... you lose 50% of your stopping power. Nice bike though. If you are serious about it... be sure to get close ups of the chrome job... I would also ask about any other modifications that were done seeing as the brakes were switched out... and to take one rotor off, means the amster cylinder as well. just my 2 cents.
  9. i had the same stuff as well... although i was able to clear enough room in the garage for both cars.

    Green Goblin?

we'll just have to play it without m2... he went to vegas or something... how much time do we have left to play it?
  11. agreed Cujo, I'm waiting on the new sockets... As for Vista, I've had that running on a P1 with 512 MB of RAM already... it's a hog... but it runs.
  12. I'm with you Mag... you take the east end, I start on the west, and we'll meet up in the middle. If we get a third, they can flank from the North.
  13. I'm pinging slightly higher to the new server... if I remember, tonight I will do some traces to post. I think the ping difference was only 5-10. I have noticed some stuttering (lag) in game, but have not looked at loss or choke yet. I will also look at those tonight.
  14. When we did it, we had to load OSX first, then Windows. Boot Camp allows you to re-partition the drive on the fly, so getting some disk space for windows was easy at that point. We have the Mac running dual boot... primarily in Windows. One of the tech's is using it as his primary pc and mac. Works flawlessly so far... with the exception of the few non-essential drivers you mentioned.
  15. they're not made the same. the opterons are made better. as for heatsinks you could try a bigtyphoon. it's what i have and it's competitive with both the zalman and the xp90c for less money. not to mention it's the quietest of the 3. I was under the impression they came off the same line almost, although the opterons go through more vigerous testing... if not, then I stand corrected... either way... sold on the opteron. I'll have to look into all these heatsinks... I don't think I have ever thought of them so much... lol. thanks again all.
  16. 25% of 911 calls are false reports... I read that somewhere... so I can understand it... but the operator could have asked a few questions to determine if it was fake or not...

    Green Goblin?

considering its 10 cst now... i don't think so... lol. Sorry fatty... i think most of us need a day's notice. 8(
  18. I'm really indifferent to video cards, ati or nvidia, they are both great chipsets. I have owned cards from both, and never had a problem with either. I'm moving off of a 9800xt, so trying nvidia for the next one. There also seems to be more support in the market for SLI, rather then crossfire. After the above respsonses I will be going with a 7900GTX to start off with, and add a second down the road for SLI. As for the processors... the 170 is identical to the 4400 with the exception of stock speed. They both come off the same lines, and go through the same testing... but I have seen that the 170 has more over-clocking ability and is more stable. My orginal thought was to take a 4400... but after reading up on quite a few sites, the 170 seems to be the way to go. Heatsink: I'll have to take a look at that. I was pretty torn on heatsink/fans... zalman has always been good for me though... But I will have to look at this xp90c thing you speak of. Great Feedback all... Thanks much.

    M2?

    happy bday... go get smashed...
  20. can you not run 1280x1024 on an sli setup? or you just don't gain anything from doing so? currently, my monitor can only run at that resolution... not buying a new one till end of the year I don't think. I could do a gtx though... that would be easy enough. thanks Ben
  21. So, I have yet to get a dual core set up... so I am planning my next pc build. This will be my second high end build... so I am still learning. Let me know what you think of the following. I've stolen some ideas from others on the site... hope you don't mind. AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T - ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce SPP 100 ATX AMD Motherboard (2) XFX PVT70FUND7 Geforce 7800GTX 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card PC Power & Cooling 510 SLI-PFC ATX12V 510W Power Supply AMD Opteron 170 Denmark 1GHz HT Socket 939 Dual Core Processor Model OSA170DAA6CD CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 433 (PC 3500) TWINX2048-3500LLPRO Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm 2 Ball Blue LED Light Cooling Fan with Heatsink I would like to overclock this system to 2.6ish, and I think this setup would work for that. I'm still going to wait and see what the m2 socket brings to the board as well. so, what do you think? What am I missing? What should I change? thanks all.
