Sounds to me like you want to game on a PC. "You know, I love consoles, except for the whole controller/tv thing."

Now that I've had time to rationally think about it, I've already solved the problem. But I was REALLLLLY mad when I first did it.

I give up. I tried to fire up minecraft, and was prompted with the "WOULD YOU LIKE TO UPDATE YOUR CLIENT?", and like an idiot I clicked "Yes". Now I can't log on the server, since it is "outdated". I will never ever again update that stupid client. Now the Bukkit waiting game begins. There are many words i want to use right now to describe this situation, but I don't want to get banned from the forums after all this time.

I like the idea of anti-cheating stuff (particularly hiding the ores from x-ray cheaters). However, I would certainly hope that our GC folks wouldn't be among those using them. I know we talked about this with previous maps, but are we giving any more consideration to white-listing the server? As of now, we don't have the chest locking tools and such that we had before, and since many of us have already invested a lot of time into our creations, it would suck for some unknown jerk to hop in and ruin it all.

Actually, the coliseum is kinda what I had in mind. I would like for this arena to be decent size with armory/locker room, stadium seating, and a mob delivery system. I've already talked with amertrash and jehoshaphat, who have ideas for the mob stuff. If a town happens to spring up around the arena, so be it. We also REALLY need a rail system at some point. I'm thinking the arena could be a central hub for the rail system as well.

I'm soooo glad to have the GC minecraft server back, and it seems that most of us have been busy getting new stuff built up and homesteads established. One thing that I would like to see happen again though would be a larger "community" project. Thus far, I have felt that while the whole point of a multiplayer server is to interact with each other, thusfar it has mostly felt like I've been doing my usual things by myself on a map that happens to have other people in it as well. Sure, pleasantries are exchanged upon joining, and of course there was the epic demolition of amertrash's trap, but we need something to bring us together, kind of like the railway project from two maps ago. I understand a big reason this hasn't happened already is that everyone needs to get their own setups established first, but I thought we could get some brainstorming done in here so that when the time comes, we can get rolling on something epic. Starter Idea: A large mob battle arena! With all of the experienced mob trap builders we have, how about we take the spawning aspects of it, and instead of dropping the mobs into a grinder, we drop them into a obsidian-floored arena and let us grind out some XP against enemies that can fight back! I think this would be a much more entertaining way of gaining XP than the standard grinders, plus we could have audience seating and everything. I think this would be an awesome group project. If anyone else has any other ideas, post them here! Let's make our permanent map EPIC!

People who took the time to read the post who's link is plastered across the top of every forum page know that there is a background changer with seven choices currently. This is accurate. The 550's just aren't up to par in their price range. For a little more money, the 560's are much better performers.

Depending on the Amp ratings, with ONE 560Ti your powersupply MIGHT be alright with it. Check your specs on your PSU and compare with the MFR site for details. I know at least in EVGA's case, they have specific wattage and amperage specs on the product page for every card. evga ftw.

Wizard and I put a lot of effort into the last map It might look out of place and all, but I say pick out your little corner of the new map and I'm sure FK can drop your creation down on there. I for one do not care if my things make the transition, let's make it happen so I can get my crafting on!

For the record, Moto has already gone on record stating that the Razr WILL be receiving an ICS update in the near future. I believe the timeline for the update was Q1 2012, but don't quote me on that. If I were upgrading to a new phone today, I would be going with the Razr, and then count the days until the ICS update. I simply like the design and form factor of the Razr better. I can say that while previous updates to my current Droid X weren't especially timely, I have received 2 major updates in the 1.5 years that I've had the phone, including a quick patch when they kinda screwed up the initial 2.3 update.

It involved a mob trap with water curtains. And a bunch of large holes in the ground. Pretty sure you can replicate all that. Let's make it happen, FK!

Portal 2 is two and a half times the gameplay, I believe my first playthrough was around 18+ hours. And it was better in every facet. Definitely worth full price, IMO. Loved every minute of it, and have replayed it 3 times since.

Get them both. Worth it. If the sequel is anything like the first, then definitely buy it. I just got Witcher 2 and Portal 2 however, so I'm going to wait and see what else they put up. Portal 2 for under $10 has been the steal of the year thus far. I paid $50 for it day one, and it was worth every penny.

I was looking to post a new topic with a poll, but apparently I don't have such powers. I vote new map. We've rebuilt before, we can do it again. Better this time, BIGGER, with 50% less ooorgle.

I'm glad they went back to the sedan look, I really don't like hatchbacks, and the STi is a BEAST. Congrats on the purchase!
