I can't say I'm addicted to the internet... But I can say I'm addicted to games... As for #4 thats a load of pooh. Its impossible to spend TOO much money on computer equipment.

I'm with Zester on this one...rob a battery from another vehicle and see if that fixes it ( like an unknowing neighbor ).

Check your event view in the admin tools for windows xp (assuming thats what you are running). It should be in there under system. It might be a memory issues (stick going bad or what have you). Download the latest MEMTest and see if it finds any errors (it will take some time to run,about 20-30min).

If my old 700Mhz P3 can do video editing (albeit very slowly) for sure that thing should do it. You have a decent amount of memory and that processor should be quite capable. I would say yes...that computer can do video editing.

44-55C is nothing for a CPU. I would only worry if its above 70C (which is 158F). CPUs can take the heat...you rig will likely crash before you could do any real harm to it from overheating.

Disclaimer: Best Buy sucks (unless its Thanksgiving) Hehe this reminds me of a product I saw at best buy. I think it was called traffic cop or something. It was hilarious because basically all it amounted to was a device that you plugged your ether net connection into and it had a switch to turn it off and on. Soooo lame. Might as well pull the plug and save yourself $20-$30. Back to the subject at hand. It has been my experience that these programs do little or nothing (unless its the router doing the blocking). When I was young my parents used Surf Watch. I disabled the program in a matter of days by deleting the files in DOS (do you remember DOS), this was back in windows 95 Long story sort. I would go the hardware route. Pass on the software.

WoW is my first venture into the relm of MMORPG...so far so good. Though I still dislike the pay to play. Anyone else think its stupid to have to buy the game then pay to play each month? I think it should be more like free download then if you like it pay to play each month. But then they would get that initial $50 (but I got it for $20). So this is unlikely.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place that is large enough to get 16-20 people together for a LAN (using our rigs).
