  2. yeah it really does depend on how much you want to spend. the C stepping P4s are great (have a 2.8 myself). but if you don't want to spend that much get a 333fsb barton. presscotts are obviously not good overclockers, but i can't really recall how the Ath64s are. well just my 2 cents.
  3. i came from HS with a 2.7.. yeah so i went to CC and first semester was a 3.67 and after geting my 2 year degree i transfered here (NCSU) with a 3.34, was on deans list all but that last semester. now that im here think i droped to a 3.2 or something, need to stop slacking as much. oh and think my SAT was like 1300 or something.
  4. how can you say no the sexy look of a tower

    Read

could i play the part of mom in the drama? i'm a classicly trained drunk : )
  7. Ringu is an awsome movie, i like it better than the ring, not that i dont also love the ring but, sadako is so much freakier than samara and the back story just flows better and makes more sinse. but because it is a japanese movie it does move slower and has less special effects and stuff, but the story is more solid if you ask me. also on a side note, the book it all originally came from was translated over here too, and is an great read, the story is really different than both movies (not going to say how) and if you like ether movie you should pick up the book. ok thats my 2 cents.
  8. Kirin has two means, the first one is it is the name of a mythalogical beast in japanese lore, kindof like a griffen if i remember correctly, the second is uh, its a japanese beer company. theres this sushi bar in chapel hill and they have this blow up sumo wresler with KIRIN written across his shash thingy, one day i'm going to steal it.. they already told me its not for sale
  9. well they brought out a cheaper Momo (im not talking about the $130 one, this one is $85, and has rubber grip not a leather one, and has the paddle shifters as well as a regular type shifter.
  10. i can't deside between the sidewinder, or the Momo racing wheel, the sidewinder is cheaper, but the other is Momo made (kind of the wheel was designed by them) anyway, they both have about the same rating with the Momo being abit better most places. so its a price proformance question for me, should i spend the extra 20 for the momo or is the sidewinder good enough.
  11. *points to topic* so yeah, i bought F1 challenge 99-02 today (thats F1 not A1 mmmm.... steak....) anyway, i need a good wheel to kick shumie's donkey, anyone got a suggestion? thanks, go BMW!
  12. from what i've read over the net AMD is the way to go for their bartons that are below the 2500+ chip and intel is the best for everything above. so which one is best depends on how fast you want the chip.
  13. 2.8 P4 800Mhz Asus P4P800 deluxe mobo ati radeon 9800 pro turtle beach santa cruz sound card 48x24x48x plextor cdrw 16x light on dvd drive 80gig 8mb cashe WD "SE" HD mitsumi floppy (oh yeah baby) Enlight 430w psu ATC-111 coolermaster case 17" NEC 1760x lcd monitor altec lansing 45.2 2.1 speakers microsoft keyboard microsoft explorer 3.0a optical mouse func mouse pad 3M wrist rest protector thingy about 8 of those plastic zip thingys for cords and the best part of my computer...... the z25 lexmark printer.. cheaper than the ink cartages that go in it *edit* HD are an important part of a pc
  14. i have the func 1030 as well and its a great pad, the clip is nice and the rough surface works great for optical mouses.

    YATTA!!

bah give me buck-tick or ayumi anyday.
  18. i know, i got one. hehe maybe they'll be forced to give me a brand new board that supports prescott
  19. yeah not all the 865 boards will support prescott, but the higher quality ones should as this says "anyone entertaining the idea of getting a motherboard with the i875P chipset must ask themselves an important question: will the Northwood successor "Prescott" actually be supported by the board? It will, according to internal information from Intel papers, provided that an appropriate voltage regulator is used, in compliance with VRM specification 10.0. Add an adapted BIOS, and you should be good to go"( now it won't support the better ones but the first ones that come out this Dec. or when ever are suppost to work on the 865 and 875 boards. also, inferno don't waste your money on the 875 boards, get a 865p board as companies like Asus and Abit have sorta unlocked the PAT tech that intel only wanted on the higher priced 875 boards, so by buying one of these boards with the unlocked PAT tech your geting a top of the line board for the price of a mainstream board. as for what prescott is, its the next new intel chip, i guess it will be the P5 or whatever but it will be .09 micron and some other stuff im too lazy to all write out, but heres some links. http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MzM4 http://www4.tomshardware.com/business/2003..._2003_2-01.html://http://www.hardocp.com/article.html..._2003_2-01.html well after reading those articals that irzad posted i guess its all up in the air as of now, i'd still hope that they will, but its not looking good.
  20. don't listen to them, they're just AMD fan boys. intel has the best chips right now, and if you get one of the new 865 or 875 boards it will also support the first prescott processors too.
  21. like i told you on AIM, i'd go with the asus p4p800 (Deluxe if you want raid) its a good stable and fast board.
