  1. I will probably do that after I get this thing backup and running Tek. That way I'll be prepared for future issues. I think what caused the issue was the "Panda 2007 Internet Security Suite" I installed last week. It seemed to install ok and run fine. But, I've noticed things running a bit funky since then. Anyways, reinstalling XP now. I do appreciate all the info you guys have brought up. If anyone thinks of anything else please post it.
  2. Thanks for the info guys. After much looking around on the internet. And trying several different things. I went and bought another SATA HD. I've installed it and I'm in the process of loading XP on it now. After I get it loaded and working. I will get all the data and files I need/want off the old HD. And then reformat it for storage. Or set it up in a RAID config. Since both HD's are 160 gig.
  3. I get the following: stop: c000021{Bad Image Checksum} The image urlmon.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum. That's the error I get. Here is some additional information on my pc. AMD64 3000+ CPU 1 SATA HD(Partitioned into a C: drive and a D: drive) 1 Gig RAM I cannot boot into safe mode. I would like to either fix this without reformatting. Temporary fix this so I can retrieve some pertinent data I want to keep, then reformat. Or install another SATA HD, load XP on it and use this HD as a slave HD so I can retrieve my data. Oh BTW if you have a process on how I can recover without reformatting. Please be very explicit in your step by step directions. Thank you.

  10. A couple of folks have said that Recrud is re-directing back to itself when full. Can someone look into this? Thank you
  11. Make sure you have the latest firmware on there. And make sure your wireless cards are designed to work with that type of router. If the router is pumping out the pre-n signal and your cards are b & g only it may be causing some interruptions. If you can set the signal to g or b only. Depending on your type of wireless cards you're using.
  12. I was boarding a plane in Pittsburgh, with my 2 year old daughter(at that time), when they closed the airports. Didn't get to see anything til we made the drive back to my folks house. Since the pittsburgh airport didn't have any TV's near any of the departure gates. I heard about it from my 2 brothers and my sister. Along with my in-laws calling me on my cell phone. Spent an extra week with my folks.

Maybe you should go back and read Chief's thread about his new job and moving.
  14. No need to add that to the title. Because the only people that need to read it are the admins. And most if not all check this forum frequently. Especially when they've been on a "ban binge".

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Now you can drink legally
  19. The guy died doing what he loved. And that was bringing the world of dangerous animals into our homes and teaching us how important they are. He had the utmost respect for these animals. You might know that if you watched more the evening news "sound-bites". And watched his shows on a regular basis. Now folks want to start being petty about what he did. GG.
  20. Be nice w8t. We're not gonna make this a debate on his style of living. R.I.P. Steve.
  21. I was looking for a downloadable manual in pdf or word format dweez. The links you gave were in english. The downloadable manuals weren't. Sorry for the confusion.
  22. I was thinking the same thing Moss. Guess I need to pick those two up and read them. Like I said, I enjoyed the zero game. Just never got around to reading anything else by him.
  23. Yes, for me it was worth the money. I was skeptical at first when I picked it up. But once I started reading it, I was glad I made the purchase. Granted, it's not the same style as Ludlum, Flynn, Clancy, etc......but it's still a good book.
  24. For anyone looking at getting a motorcycle. If you're interested in Honda's check these folks out. The prices they have on their website is what you pay for the bikes. I know several folks from here in the San Antonio area that made the drive up to purchase a bike from these folks. And they saved at least $2000 by doing so. They are legit. I'm still trying to persuade my wife into letting me go get one.
  25. Here's a book I read by author Brad Metzler. It was an interesting read. I myself enjoyed it. THE ZERO GAME Matthew Mercer and Harris Sandler are playing a mysterious game. It's a game almost no one knows aboutâ€â€not their friends, not their co-workers, and certainly not their bosses, who are some of the most powerful Senators and Congressmen on Capitol Hill. It's a game that has everything: risk, reward, mystery, and the thrill of knowing thatâ€â€just by being invited to playâ€â€you’ve confirmed your status as a true power broker in Washington. But as Matthew and Harris quickly discover, the Zero Game is hiding a secret so explosive, it will shake Washington to its core. And when one player turns up dead, a dedicated young staffer will find himself relying on a tough, idealistic seventeen-year-old Senate page to help keep him alive...as he plays the Zero Game to its heart-pounding end.
