  1. in the wrong spots, split between walls, jacked up. go look.
  2. E-Thug and rules are jacked up on the servers.
  3. New Valve Anti-Cheat technology caught a few people cheating in Counter-Strike: Source and other games this week -- over 10,000. VAC detects anyone using cheat software and permanently bans their Steam account. We expect to see a surge of forum posts laying blame squarely at the feet of "my little brother."
  4. You should have just deleted the clientregistry.blob file. Then restarted steam. This should have fixed your problem.
  5. btw, i wouldn't have been so quick to unban if it couldn't be verified by the stats page. seemed legit, so went ahead. Slaps SJ with a soggy burrito. I believe dadeo's been around this community longer than you.
  6. Psk-tkip(I believe that's the right acronym or it's vice-versa) and MAC filtering is what I use on my wireless setup. My MAC filtering is done by adding the MAC Addresses of the wireless cards I will allow access to my network. They go in a list. All other MAC's won't be allowed to connect.
  7. BTW to catch the error code, go into your bios and turn off "reboot" on startup error. Or something like that. I had to do this when my pc went belly-up a few weeks ago.

    benjester

benjester can you update your forum extension you did for firefox users? The one you created a while back doesn't work with the new 2.0 release.

    Act of Treason

Yes. BTW, I finished this book last night before the cowboys game came on. Good book. Couple interesting twists.
  10. Just wanted to let you guys know. I started reading this one this morning. Should be finished with it by tonight. Or at the latest tomorrow evening. Up to chapter 20 already. Pretty good read.
  11. I too get the same issue when I try to refresh the master list of steam servers. It kills my internet connection and I have to power the router and the dsl modem down. I have a linksys 4 port wireless router. May need to double check some settings.

    Can I just say

The house unit also accepts my ipod. So, I get twice the capabilities.

I got the portable one. It's called the sportester 4. Picked up this flat panel speaker radio that you plug the unit into in the house. It also can record up to 44 minutes of programming so you won't miss something you were listening to. PS: SJ they make a boom box you can carry around to listen to it. Or you can get the portable(ipod like) one.

    Can I just say

My wife got me Sirius Satellite Radio for my birthday. And man it rocks. Seems like no matter what station I put it on, there's always a good song playin'. Never thought I would pay for radio. But now I can't imagine not having it.
  15. Just send that 2k to me. I'll put it to good use.
  16. I got one of these last month. Mines the older one. This one is the newer version. At first I wasn't all that impressed with it's speed. So, I let it sit for a couple of weeks. I went back to it and now I'm quite happy with it's transfer rate. Guess it needed to burn in or something. It's nice to have a networked storage hd. That way I don't have to leave any one pc on all the time to access it.
  17. If anyone is interested, I'm an AMSOIL Dealer. It's good stuff.
  18. The main differences are: The amount of twist per pair per inch or foot Cat6 also has a strengthener/seperator core between each pair to strengthen the cable and to help eliminate cross-talk. Cat6 is also a PITA to work with compared to Cat5 or Cat5e because of the above mentioned strengthener.
  19. I was thinking about doing this NOFX. MrX and I were talking about it. But the only linux os I have is SUSE 10 with only the install cd's. Didn't have the SUSE 10 Live cd to run it from the cd.
  20. Thanks Slaughter. BTW, I've got most of the new HD setup and rockin'. I was able to re-install the old HD and retrieve all my emails and other files. And since I had it partitioned, I was able to make a shortcut to Steam so I can play CS:S without re-downloading all of it again.
  21. Ok, I've got my new HD installed and updated. Got the old HD installed as storage. I was able to retrieve all my old email and other files I wanted. Except my Firefox Favorites Folder. Anyone know where this thing is located? If so, can you enlighten me on it.
