I've been considering investing some cash in the mass effect games (over steam to avoid EA's DRM whatnot) and am wondering if there were any real point to getting the first one or would I be better served by just going right to #2? Anyone? Anyone? Ring EDIT:: I realize that the games are old but I like to stay a bit behind the times tech wise (it's cheaper)

An job application I recently submitted is currently under review. While I'm not looking for selfish prayer along the lines of "please help me get the job" I would appreciate that people pray that I won't get too worried about it, I suffer from stress something awful and this is just one thing that could add to my load. How exactly are you playing Starcraft 2? It hasn't been released yet. Also I'm playing old SNES games mostly these days when I PC I'm usually playing TF2 but want to get back into CS:S because it'll probably seem fun to me again (my gaming tastes cycle) Ring

what do you mean by thread? do you mean here on these forums or on the steam group. I usually "set up events" (read: beg for someone to play on the server as well) when I am available to play. Also absolutely anyone in the steam group is capable of setting up such an "event." If you're in the steam group please set up an event if you want to try and liven up the server. Ring

I got to catch some of the US v Germany Game but I had to go before I the finish of the 6th end, now they're showing hockey. Stupid Classes.

It has come and gone. We actually got a couple of pubbers in until everyone left at once. They said that our server actually showed up on their list. So yay! I'll be organizing another event saturday at a time to be announced on this thread soon. Stay Tuned Ring

Ok, So here's the deal. Jackie (at least according to my sources) is gonna hold an event on Friday. I was going to hold an event on Saturday but got roped into moderating a Quiz Bowl Tournament. So I'm going to have to hold off for a week. Everyone play on friday at 8 EST. The server is apparently showing up on the list so we've got to attract pubbers and get them to like it. crap. I'm sorry I was at a concert last night. Did it work at all? also I've decided to give everyone in the steam gctf2 group the ablity to create events so info can be disseminated that way

as I see it the basic problem we have is that none of us seem to be online at the same time enough to get even 2 people onto the server... If we could at least achievement mill each other there'd be something to do but one person sitting in a server feels lonely. Also as I said before, and I believe that this is not just my opinion, even if 2 to 4 of us got into the server if we had no hope of anyone else ever joining because they can't see the server then what's the point? On a side note it has occurred to me to ask if we couldn't add the TF2 server ip to the list of little things that pop up in green on retro. I'd think that some of the people who reg on our other servers but don't spend time on our forums might be interested in playing tf2 with us. We could do the same thing and advert for retro on the tf2 server (which needs a name btw) there's some more of my thoughts, now I'm going to go and try and get rid of my headache Ring

is it possible for me to idle on the server so it shows at least 1 person even when I'm not actually playing?
