The reason I suggested the scramble each round, was so it doesn't become about points or if one team clearly knows the custom better than the other, it doesn't cause people to leave before the full campaign is played. I would prefer getting all the regulars on to have fun on maps we don't normally play. But I am fine either way.

Customs night is back! This Friday 12/16/16 Starting around 8:00pm EST (might be a little earlier or later depending on how maps are going prior) SERVER 2 (hopefully it will be working!) Yes I was surprised to see Tainted the other day. San's board member contract is for another 50 years, he just doesnt play L4D2 much. Johnny is back too. But...what happened to Sassy and Shepard?! I miss my L4D2 women. Now I have to pretend Merc and Meng are women when I am in game.

Will it work, if it is for L4D and not L4D2? Is it similar to Dam it 2, the custom on the server?

Only if Jackie could set it up to record it that way. Not sure if that is easy to do or not. If not, he can just pick a time-period and go with it.

General won both contests (146 kills on me while i was infected and 8 while i was survivor). Since Merc provided the prizes, he can decide how to handle it. He did specify a person could only win 1 prize, so have to decide who gets the other prize. I believe he was going to give to a second place winner. Also, I will provide a prize for a contest against Merc, if Jackie can set up something on that. Maybe we should do it for a shorter period of time though, since Merc is so easy to kill (not sure if a spreadsheet can count that high?). Maybe for a two week period?

I just like variety. Any decent new maps would be good. We need to do more of the existing customs we have. Last couple times we did it, the server was filled. Here are the instructions for checking out a custom: http://gamrs.co/forums/index.php?/topic/44980-custom-campaign-list-updated-102015/?p=548908 To test if a Custom Campaign works locally (not connected to a server), do the following if you want to suggest campaigns: 1. Close your game and navigate to your /left4dead2/cfg/ folder (Default path in most situations: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\cfg\) 2. Open your "addonconfig.cfg" file. 3. Down where it says "RestrictAddions", you'll see a few entries there. Under "default", change the "0" to "1". You may need to add another entry named "coop" and make it "1". 4. Launch the game and have the custom campaign downloaded that you want to test and make sure it's selected in the main menu. 5. Click on Play Campaign -> Play With Friends -> Change server to "Local Server" -> Start Lobby -> Start Game. This will launch the custom campaign though a local server with the addons restricted. Not sure if just going to Single Player works or not, but this is the definite way to ensure it works. 6. Play through the campaign. If you're able to go from first level to the finale escape cinematic, the campaign passes test. At that point, suggest it and I'll play it for myself to see if it passes my standards test...which isn't that high. I just make sure the entire campaign is playable and has good quality maps. Pay attention to the following: -The campaign has a ton, if any, textures that are purple/black checkered -Any "ERROR" models -Fails to load the next level after you complete one -Client-side crashes (multiple, or happens in the same spot in the same map (ie: When exiting the saferoom)) Odds are, if any of these happen, then the map isn't suitable for play with addons disabled. Addons being disabled is not going to change just for the sake of custom campaigns. To revert the restrict addons change, just reverse the numbers again in step #3.

There was plenty of time! But no more! I might be on later for a final chance. I will be glad it is over though, such a pain being targeted so much, but it was funny too. I think I put in a lot of hours this month, to give all a shot at me! When this is done, I will do a contest for killing someone else

It's a shame about Cold Stream. That happens a lot. I personally like playing that campaign. I don't understand why people only want to play the same 4 or 5 campaigns over and over.
