matrix was full of holes from the beginning. As for LOTR, you need to read the book, beforejudgin it had holes. the movies left many things unexplained because of time reason. If you were to direct the movie as the book was, theyd have still been in the middle of the second movie, trying to get everything figured out. Tolkien was a genius writer and i think jackson did a wonderful job of taking his best imaginatino and trying to stretch it around tolkiens. Didnt work as well as i hoped, but then, youre dealing with a story that was literally 30+ years in the creation, and has more than twice as much history and writing on it before and after the movies than is concieved by the general public.

if you believe in your heart, and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved. Whosoever will call on the name of the lord will be saved. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that who ever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. there is a parable in Matthew that speaks about waiting til the eleventh hour. It happens(being saved on your deathbed, heck it happened to my Grandpa! ) but not very often. My advice is not to try waiting that long. But if you know when you time is up, you fully believe, not jsut hope God is real, but truly ackwoledge your sins and his grace, you will be saved. No doubts. Thats still an issue with me Auggy. I here your arguement. I understand. I too have thought about this idea many times. Let me get back to you.

the bible talks about people who just do good works, dj. And it says that our good works arent good enough. If i were a nice guy all my life and did my "best" i would still go to hell, because that isnt what christianity is about. Its about faith. Its about love. Its about a mindset, lifestyle, and heartmode, that arent part of being "nice". Being good will just happen, if that christian is a true believer. If not a true believer, all the works they do wont mean squat. This is not a judgement statement, its what the bible says. its harsh sometimes, and its not comfortable. But there is never a reason to be scared of hell, because of the flames, and the burning and such. There is a reason to be afraid of heaven. There is too much good in heaven to comprehend. There is more love than we have ever imagined. There is also justice, of which hell has none. Justice says, you lived this way or that, according to God's law you will exist here(in heaven) or there(in hell). It is God's law that judges, not christians.

if there was no "afterlife" i would still live this way. Because there is hope in the thought of something better. Because there is hope in the choice of living for someone/thing other than yourself. Because there is joy in knowing(even if it is baseless) that you are living for a goal, for a dream, for a thing better than yourself. Salvation is the idea of being taken from a pit, hole, bottomless sea, and being placed onto solid ground. Its not about a reward, its about serving something other than the lusts and orgies of this world. Its about enjoying life the way we all know it should be enjoyed, by loving everyone better than yourself. "Why be good when it feels so good to be bad". But it feels so much more true and whole to be good. Bad/evil is self destructive and simple. It only lasts so long before it gets boring. To serve another and to love another is always "rewarding" because our nature is to give ourselves to others, alway. Ask any scientist, they will tell you about "survival of the species". More people, when pressed will do good for themselves rather than for others, but will always know they should have done it the other way round(if they are truthful with themselves).

works are a part of salvation. if you dont do what your faith dictates, your faith is dead(reworded James). But "all our righteous deeds are as filthy rags" from Isaiah. If someone lives a godly life, but doesnt live God's life, they wont go to heaven. If someone lives an ungodly life, but believes(in thier mind) in God , they wont go to heaven. Works alone wont get you to heaven. Ghandi. Hrm. Well, did he believe(as most of the world does) that Jesus was a "good" man, but no more? Well, then by the bible, he wont be in heaven. If he did, even in the last breath he breathed, he will be. jane

I find this to be a very fun, though extremely glitchy mod. nothing is more fun that blasting some rebel scum with your Blastech 327(aint real). No lightsabers, no wookies. But its still funny to run around as a droid(yeah, just press "e" when next to the control panel and you're an R2- droid, able to heal vehicles and hurt really close range guys over extended periods of time! check it out

you have a problem with being just saved by grace. Its not that. Its that we are saved by grace, through faith(ephesians 2:8). And how do we show faith? By works. Its not that works can save us, but they are the fruits of our faith. Romans 10:13 WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED 2 Timothy 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity Titus 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit Romans 4:3-5 For what does the Scripture say? "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS." Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness. jane

RGR That Auggy. Its hard. One thing about grace and works and faith. It doesnt matter what you believe about them. Because Grace means "unmerited favor". Which means there is nothing we have done to desearve the "favor" (God smiliing basically) God gave us. Nothing we could do, nothing we have done, nothing we will do. God's gift is irrevocable. Romans 11 29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, 31 so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. 32 For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all. No date or time set jsut yet, but I am gonna be holding a LAN Party for BF 1942 sometime this spring in Colorado. I have about 8 guys i know of already coming and more the merrier! So if you all wanna join in, or have any desire to come out to CO, let me know! We'll probably be playing mostly BF1942, but we'll also be playing Desert Combat, Galactic Conquest, Forgotten Hope, maybe some CS, and most likely any new game we(194th Gliders INfantry Regiment) decide to get into!

my referance would be to iraq where we need to take people outa power who are making life hell. preferably doing this would be peaceful and not involve killing. But most often people who like to kill people wont step down peacefully. If im in a war, or in an army, im gonna do what my commander says, if that be kill those guys in that bunker, then im gonna go do it. if it be in peacetime and im a regular joe, im not gonna ask for the death penalty unless that person desearves it(aka assain of president, John Bundy, Charles Manson). I dont know what else to say. The bible makes it clear to not kill people, without cause given by God.
