Actually the left arm thing is the way the hitboxes are arranged. As you run and hold your gun, the left arm is out further and crosses in front of your body. This means it takes some of the hits that would hit your chest because your arm passes in front of it. So pretty much everyone will have the majority of hits in the left arm.

Given how many smoke nade fights you and I have, why am I not surprised

There was ways in 1.6 for people to use custom weapon skins to get advantages although I'm not sure what they all were. I used to use custom models since the old 1.6 ones were so blocky and ugly, but when I started playing in CAL I went back to std models since they require it. I can see why they require everyone to be using the same "equipment." It's why any sport has regulations and rules, to keep the only difference between players as their skill.

From time to time I"ve tried to tweak my rates but never tried that combo. I've looked at "guides" or tips for figuring out your ideal rates but those never seemed to work. I know what you're talking about though getting your ping to read lower, but then your choke or loss goes through the roof!

I didn't wanna bring this up in server or one of the public forums, but the last couple days I've noticed mayhem sitting at a solid 25 /25 and it taking me a few minutes to connect. 1.6 had the option to disable the multiple skins "cl_minmodels = 1" or something like that. Personally I like having different models, variety is the spice of life

I"m really surprised that you had problems with Dell. I've been buying computers from them since 98. I've gotten 3 for myself and parents plus help get comps for neighbors and more. I've actually lost track of how many computers I've setup for people through Dell. I've never heard of anyone having a problem with buying computers from them! I've had to call their tech support a few times over the years and almost always was talking to a live tech. in less than 5 minutes. I have never had this fast of service from ANY other company for ANYTHING! Their tech support has always been fast and friendly in helping me solve the problem I called them about. I'm just really stunned you had all this trouble!

My roommate did that to his own comnputer in the dorm room, then when we had people in he would ask them to check something on it. Oh man was that fun watching them trying to get the computer to work!
