    Vegas?!?1

atleast you only lost half.. Oh no. I lost all of it. I placed everything on black, haha. I'm just saying, the odds of hitting Green are so small that I would have been less angry if it had landed on Red instead. Oh well, can't win 'em all!

    Vegas?!?1

Last year in Vegas I lost $250 in Mandalay Bay on a game of roulette. I bet Black and it freaking landed on Green. Not Red..... Green....
  3. If I wasn't so busy this weekend I would love to join in.

    Vegas?!?1

1.) I know it's out of the way from the main strip, but I really enjoyed the observation deck of the Stratosphere. I went up there with 2 friends just before sundown and we got some great pictures of Vegas. Not to mention, the deck is outdoors so feeling the wind at a high elevation I found relaxing. 2.) On the strip, of course go to the Bellagio for a free outdoors dancing water show equipped with music. This is a MUST SEE in my opinion. 3.) In-N-Out Burger. This fast food joint is off the strip, but only a 5min drive if you're near the Luxor side of the strip. In-N-Out is one of my favorite fast food chains in America, and they don't even have them near me in Chicago! This is how fast food should be. 4.) The Treasure Island show is also free and outdoors of the main TI hotel. It's so-so and can become quite crowded, so I suggest getting their a little early if you plan on seeing that. 5.) Penn & Teller. If you've never seen them live before, here's your chance. They put on a great show mixed with comedy and magic at the Rio. They also sign autographs for free after their shows. Basically, just stay on the main strip and you'll have a great time in pretty much any of those major casinos. They all are pretty cool and unique in their own respect. My first night in Vegas, I walked into every hotel off the main strip and I probably liked the interior of the Wynn the most. Don't bother going off the strip or into "Old Vegas" aka Freemont Street. Those areas are quite dirty.

    1.6

1.6... That' was probably CS's highest point as far as the number of people playing.
  6. I'm glad to hear how positive you sound about the future Xoul. Life almost never works out the way anybody plans it. Some people have to overcome tougher obstacles to finally find what they are looking for and sometimes, even though things seem to be at an end, a new beginning is waiting for you just around the corner.
  7. Check this one out. Click on the "new items" on the blueprints for a good time. http://manno.com.br/Engineer/index.html
  8. I would like to go, but I don't think I'll be able to convince anyone to go with me for $200 per ticket + driving downtown 3 days in a row.
  9. I saw them live a few years back because they opened for Santana at the Taste of Chicago. They're very talented, but they were boring live for some reason. I think that might have been because I was so far away I couldn't see how impressive they are close up.

My money is on Louis getting killed off. Not only because the black man always dies first, but also because of his addiction to pills. Peelz here!
  11. I like how the article is written by an openly admitted feminist.
  12. Nice job with your first house! That's impressive.
  13. Thanks for all the positive feedback!
  14. In case you guys wanted to check us out, my singer's girlfriend just uploaded 5 videos of my band playing a show on St. Pattie's day. We're playing cover songs at the moment, but feel free to join the myspace page if you're interested! This was our 2nd live show and our 1st headlining show. In case you're wondering, I'm the one on the left side playing guitar wearing the "Feeling Lucky?" Cubs shirt. 15. I get those txt spams too from time to time. They're almost always about getting out of debt, which I find quite funny since I have no debt currently. They annoy me because my cell phone bill gets charged 10cents per txt message and there's no way to block them from what I've seen. The only solution I know of is to call my provider and cut off txt messages completely, but then I can't get txt messages from friends. Therefore, unless they get out of hand, I'll just deal with the 2-3 spam txts per month.
  16. Am i the only one who found it amusing that in another topic you spouted off about your studies on cows milk and the unhealthy effects it can have on people because we aren't "meant or built" to drink it. And then how all you drank was chocolate milk in high school and never white milk? That's because I did that study on the bad affects of milk in college. In high school I did, in fact, drink chocolate milk almost every day. I hardly touch milk these days though.
  17. I've already made most of my picks. I'll enter them later today when I finally decide on a few games in the West & South Regionals. Those 2 regions are so under-stacked it's hard to make picks I feel confident with.
  18. Even though Hurt Locker won best picture of the year, here is how I felt about the top 10 nominated films for best picture. I ranked them starting with what I thought was the best picture and ending with my least favorite in numerical order. Yes, I actually did watch all 10 movies. 1.) Up 2.) Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire 3.) District 9 4.) The Blind Side 5.) The Hurt Locker 6.) A Serious Man 7.) Avatar 8.) Up in the Air 9.) An Education 10.) Inglourious Basterds
  19. I did a study on milk several years back and basically concluded that the human stomach is simply not designed to digest cow's milk. It's been a few years but here are a few highlights that I recall from my study: *Part of the problem is that cows have 4 stomachs. Humans, of course, have 1 stomach. *This leads to the obvious problem that Cow's milk is designed for baby cows, not humans. *Other studies suggest that cow's milk may be linked to childhood onset diabetes. *Cow's milk may cause hardening of the arteries and high blood pressure later in life, leading to coronary heart disease. *In a diet high in casein, the major source being dairy, some forms of cancer grew five times as fast. *15% of whites, 70% of African Americans and 90% of Asians are lactose intolerant. *The pasteurization of milk was created mainly to increase shelf-life, in turn, increasing profits. *People with weak digestive systems are largely effected by milk products, especially after 30 years of age. And my favorite: *Pathogenic organisms find an ideal breeding ground in the excess mucus that dairy products generate. The following diseases as being aggravated or caused by mucus conditions in which dairy products is the major offender: Undulent fever, colds, flu, bronchial troubles, tuberculosis, asthma, certain types of arthritis, hay fever, sinus trouble and pneumonia.
  20. The high school I attended never offered soft drinks in the first place. I remember drinking chocolate milk for lunch practically every day. This is indeed a step in the right direction for a healthier America, but unfortunately the largest step needs to be parents feeding their children healthier foods at home. With the busy lifestyle that most Americans live, they would rather buy quick and easy junk food rather than cook a healthy homemade meal. Another problem is perception of price. The fast food industry has drilled into a lot of people's heads that it is cheaper to eat out at a fast food restaurant than it is to buy groceries and cook a meal at home. This is false of course, but much of low-income America seems to believe this farce.
  21. <3 Gino's East is only 1 of many great places to get pizza around Chicago. My other favorites include Giordano's, Lou Malnati's, & Nancy's.
