  1. Yeah, it is a bit more than it used to be, but manageable for most, hopefully.
  2. I haven't had any luck with OCZ power supplies, so that's the first thing I would change. Stick with a better brand....a bit more money is well worth it here. Wouldn't make any sense to use anything smaller than 750w, especially since the money difference is so small. Go with the most you can afford, allow yourself room to upgrade.
  3. You'll never come no matter what the date is....you're just too cool for us.
  4. If one of our main guys can't make the 18th, then we should just remove it from the vote entirely, makes no sense to include a date that the founder of the whole thing can't attend.
  5. Go here first : http://gamrs.co/forums/index.php?/topic/303-welcome-to-the-banned-forums-read-this-first/#entry3332
  6. A bit shocking? Yes. Silly? Absolutely not. Good for you. Well, we have a couple of volunteers already, this is great! With a couple more, we should have enough coverage to feel comfortable about people getting where they need to be....safely.
  7. Well, we obviously can't have that
  8. Well, sounds like we have all the needed bases covered, let's do it. As for food runs, what's the deal with the kitchen? Can that be used to our advantage? Depending on the rural location, we may even consider some grillin....Fatty is pretty badarse on the bbq....even manages to make asparagus delicious....and as for his sausage...he never shuts up about it. I'm gonna do my best to be there, i'm about 85% as of right now. I won't likely make the golf outing on Thursday, but I should be good for Friday and Saturday....plenty of airline miles saved up. I won't be bringing a PC, as anyone that knows me from FF can you, I don't play much there....I love the poker, pool, and just hanging out, I can play computer games at home Looking forward to seeing old friends and new faces, and hopefully yours is one of them Fk. Let me know if you need anything from me and i'll do what I can.
  9. I don't think we ever tried to keep this a secret, lol. Btw...are you coming Fk?
  10. Spoke to Fatty, and it does sound like a great venue, would make the actual event alot more fun. I think we should try to answer some questions first, just for the sake of safety. 1. Should we entertain the idea of voluntary dedicated drivers from our non drinking crowd? Or would that be too much of a burden and take away from their fun? 2. Do we have the budget to hire a dedicated shuttle driver for the event, someone that's all business and not there trying to have fun, toss them a few hundred bucks, feed em, supply non alcoholic beverages? ( this has my vote) 3. Do we need to have something legal written up in the form of a waiver to cover our arses? I am warming up to the idea given the possibilities for an awesome time, i'm just thinking that we need to be smart about it, and try to make it as safe as possible.
  11. I don't think it's a good idea to have hotel away from gaming/drinking area....there's alot of alcohol consumption at these things, I see bad things happening.
  12. ugh...not at all what I was hoping for...seems like more of that Cleveland poor decision making curse, new owner, same bad decisions, oh well, he's the guy, so we have to give him a fair chance, maybe he'll surprise us.
  13. Past performance is not indicative of future results
  14. Bill Cowher could be back in the game, would LOVE to have him back with Cleveland, if he couldn't make something of them, there's no hope, lol
  15. I am most happy that our Saints were able to retain Sean Payton, he is a pretty important piece to our team puzzle as demonstrated by our performance this year...as for my second favorite team, Cleveland couldn't really do any worse, that's the good news, as for this Smith guy, i'm not familiar, but hopefully he, or whomever they get is a stern, energetic, arse kicking coach, because the last few have been too laid back and showed almost no emotion, and to the fans, it seems like they just don't care, or know what to do.
  16. dunno about him, but i'm gonna try these....cause I'm just starting to accept and enjoy sucking...which is scary. Did several years off really put me that far down the ladder?!?!? argh. No..this game is just awful
  17. Cleveland is cursed with bad decision making, whether it be bad coaches, or benching the wrong players in favor of losers, it's always the same story. Hell, even when they had a great coach, which Belichick later proved he was, they still can't do squat. It's tough being a Browns fan....although I do get to share that with The Saints now, which is a great team despite their problems this year. I hope Cleveland gets it together...I would love to add brown and orange back to the wardrobe...but they have beat me up as a fan my entire life, they need to earn their way back into my heart.
  18. If you do decide to build, let me know before you buy...on top of the 24" lcd, i have one pretty good video card, HD6870 I think, and I probably still have an 8800GT, which may still be useful depending on what they are going to play. Might even have a couple RAM sticks. Whatever extra stuff I have is yours if you want it, just let me know.
  19. I have a 24" lcd that i'm no longer using, yours if you want it.
  20. My only changes would be to go with a Z77 mobo, only $10.00 more. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813130653 And the CPU, no reason not to go with 3570k. Save $50 extra by bundling CPU/mobo @ Microcenter....in store only, so if you don't have one, get a buddy to buy and ship to you...that's what I did The standalone prices on CPU and mobo are way cheaper too... http://www.microcenter.com/product/401769/Z77A-G41_LGA_1155_mATX_Intel_Motherboard http://www.microcenter.com/product/388577/Core_i5_3570K_34GHz_LGA_1155_Processor $220.87 for mobo and CPU bundled at Microcenter, pretty hard to beat that. They don't advertise that $50 off deal, but if you put it in the cart and have a store selected to pick it up, you'll see the discount, mobo went down to $34.99.
  21. Location B sounds like it sucks. 1am....puhleeeez
  22. It's a tough deal for sure, my grandmother was the same way....my grandfather died in 1976 and there was a piece of her missing ever since. For years she just kept pushing on all the while just waiting for her turn. That woman had 5 strokes and a small heart attack and nothing would take her out! Every time something happened to her, she almost seemed relieved...like it was finally her turn, but then she pulled through, and we were always happy, but I see know that was a selfish, but natural reaction because we didn't want to lose her. Well, a couple of years ago now, Grandma finally got her wish at the age of 96. She went peacefully and quickly, and after it was finally over, I felt unexpectedly relieved for her....her fight was finally over, she got what she wanted. All of us were able to finally see clearly now that the option for hoping she would pull through was off the table, we were able to see and understand her wishes, and that with age, there comes an understanding that we are finite, and that it's ok....something that the oldest of people seem to willingly accept, I guess we were still too full of fight to see what she could see, and more importantly, accept it. My grandma was the best that you could have, and I loved her very much...and I realized just how much when I was able to let her go without a tear, but with happiness for her, and that her journey was finally over, as she wished it to be. You don't really have to do anything but love him while he's here, and accept it when he's not. Everything will work itself out
  23. I've been so busy lately that I hadn't thought about it until now....maybe i'll explore the beer isle after my work is done tomorrow, our local grocery has a pretty impressive selection. I did have some pretty good Pumpkin beer when I was in Ohio in September...I don't usually like spiced beer, but it was good. My sister is a rep and her hubby owns a liquor store, so they had quite a selection, don't quite remember exactly what I had....i'll have to ask.
