Biggest Suprise Movie?

For me it was "The Man Who Knew Too Little". I caught it on HBO one time during a free preview weekend. I laughed so hard at it and I'd never heard of it before then. Bill Murray btw. One of his best I think.

What movie suprised you the most?

Recently... Butterfly Effect. I really.... really thought this was gonna be a stinker! I was preasantly surprised!. Another movie I didnt really hear of before and saw it on payperview was Spartan (I always enjoy Val Kilmer movies...Top Secret !!! ) :P ...oh and 13 going on 30. I thought this type of movie had been done soo many times and would likely suck, but it was very well done.

Highlander. I saw it on cable shortly after its initial release at the theater (1980ish). I totally loved it and was stunned to find out it died at the box office.

Now Highlander 2?...I wish that had died on the cutting room floor.

this year: mean girls - thought this was gonna be a total chick flick

but it was actually really funny

you cant beat a movie that starts with a redneck kids saying "and on the third day God created guns to kills the dinosaurs and the homosexuals"

and the surprise hit of the summer for me was napoleon dynamite

this movie caught me totally by surprise with it VERY subtle humor and nuances
