Ruff_Ryder September 9, 2004 Share Ruff_Ryder Member September 9, 2004 Anybody here using one of these? I am looking into getting one. Steelpad 4D Steelpad 4S The 4D is a plastic version, the 4S is a aluminum backed version, I would get the cheaper 4D version and make my own aluminum backing. Penty September 9, 2004 Share Penty Member September 9, 2004 I would not recomend the blue 4S one for an optical mouse due to the slow gradient change in blue.

Magruter September 9, 2004 Share Magruter Member September 9, 2004 It comes with mouse feet?? What the hell are those!?! What type of mouse do you use? I have a mx700 i use a func1030 pad which is pretty sweet. I also heard that cloth and an optical mouse is nice.
dwEEziL September 9, 2004 Share dwEEziL Member September 9, 2004 I would suggest the fUnc 1030 (about $20). And I would assume the "mouse feet" are like "Mouse Skates", which is silicon tape to cover the mouse sliders. Makes them super slick.
Ruff_Ryder September 9, 2004 Author Share Ruff_Ryder Member September 9, 2004 I see a "will not work with wireless mice..." They say it will work with the Logitech MX series, I have a MX700. I was mainly looking at them for the increased surface area (11.4 x 10), my current pad is 9 x 8.

urk?!? September 9, 2004 Share urk?!? Member September 9, 2004 http://gear.gotfrag.com/?module=product&sku=R01-M01-EXACTMAT New aluminum mousepad from Razer. Bigger than the steelpad, and cheaper. Personally, I use a gotfrag eclipse pad, but it's a cloth mat. http://gear.gotfrag.com/?module=product&sk...-M01-ECLIPSEPAD
random_n00b September 9, 2004 Share random_n00b Member September 9, 2004 I'd take that $35 and put it towards a really good mouse. Personally, I haven't had a problem with my $2 mouse pad from Staples. I've had it for five years, it won't be replaced until the fabric completes its separation from the rubber bottom, and it will be replaced with another $2 mouse pad.
