It's just a matter of whether or not it's easy enough to parse the stuff I get from the server. Hitman January 15, 2003 Share Hitman Member January 15, 2003 OK here's what I've done about the server status page: I created a CGI that you can link to that gives the status of servers. The url to it is... http://24.196.67.181/hlquery.exe In order to specify a server other than the S!d server (or more than one server) just add them to the command line sperated by commas. i.e. http://24.196.67.181/hlquery.exe?66.34.132.7:27022 http://24.196.67.181/hlquery.exe?146.20.85...04,146.20.80.51 You don't have to specify the port unless it's different than 27015 (default). The only problem is I always get a timeout when trying to get the status of some of the servers on my HLSW list. I have no idea why but here are the ones I have problems with... 146.20.90.156:27015 TF | Server 66.219.146.158:27015 [DOH] Delta DS3 146.20.80.242:27015 [DOH] Foxtrot OC-24 146.20.90.142:27015 [Mmmm]-=m4dh0us3=- 66.136.75.240:27015 CsLs LuNaTiC AsYlUm T3 146.20.90.162:27015 [DW] Divine Warriors So if anyone out there has any idea why I can't make a UDP connection to these servers feel free to shed some light (I'm new at this server pinging stuff). Also any constructive criticisms about the status page is accepted, as long as it isn't some flame about how you could do it better, because if you can... be my guest! Hitman January 19, 2003 Share Hitman Member January 19, 2003 Hmm, methinks you guys need to go back and read my whole post from when I first announced it You can put as many servers there as you want, and in whatever order, theres just that whole problem of some servers not working for some strange reason... anybody have any clue why? For instance I could put 9 servers on there now... just that one Fall3n server and DOH server gets a timeout on the UDP connection... http://24.196.67.181/hlquery.exe?146.20.85...8,146.20.80.242 BTW, the reason that loads so slow is because it has to wait for two servers to timeout, if they all worked it would load much faster.
