TheReverend(c) September 16, 2005 Share TheReverend(c) Member September 16, 2005 A friend of mine used Hydroxycut from GNC with his diet and exorcise and went from 380lbs to 205lbs in about 4 months. He lives by it. Is this normal weaight loss or is it from Hydroxycut? is it safe to use?
Unclean September 16, 2005 Share Unclean Member September 16, 2005 11lbs a week? That's definitely not healthy. That's over 5 times the recommended weight loss per week. I'd wonder what some of the effects of losing that kind of weight are. Is it water loss? Has he felt weaker? More fatigued? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=recom...G=Google+Search
All Kill3r September 16, 2005 Share All Kill3r Member September 16, 2005 i'd say he lost most of his weight because of the hydroxucut, it does work. But far from 'safe' in this case. I know someone that used 'Stackers' to lose a bunch of weight real fast, definately not healthy.
TheReverend(c) September 17, 2005 Author Share TheReverend(c) Member September 17, 2005 I cant be sure that was exactky the amout of weight, thats what he told me. But he slimmed down amazingly fast in those months. All he ate was salads with cubed chicken, a lot of liquids and Hydroxycut with his exercise. gOOters September 17, 2005 Share gOOters Member September 17, 2005 I think they stopped putting Ephedrine in Hydroxycut, so it isnt as bad for you as it used to be. I can only speak to the original hydroxycut. It is basically a thermogenic stack (combo of important ingredients) of Caffine, Asprin and (at one point) ephedrine plus a couple other goodies. The purpose of it is to elevate your core body temperature for extended periods in order to help burn a few more calories. The original intended user of hydroxycut would have been a body builder trying to get "cut" before a performance. It was supposed to help shed those last few pounds. The ephedrine played a VERY important role in stimulating fat burning and worked in sync with the caffine. I would NOT recommend using hydroxycut or any thermogenic stack for extended periods if ephedrine is in the mix. And I dont happen to think that asprin and caffine being constantly present in your body is a good thing. However, if you want to check out the new Hydroxycut that is ephedrine free, maybe that could be a good (albeit expensive) supplement? btw, when checking your ingredients Ma Huang = Ephedrine. Also, check out "Monster" energy drinks, they are crammed with all kinds of herbal stimulants (incl caffine and L-carnitine which proponents claim aids in fat burning). But basically, if you wanna lose weight, do your aerobics 4 times a week and start eating well!

You have to work hard and eat right before those types of supplements will even start to make a difference.
TheReverend(c) September 17, 2005 Author Share TheReverend(c) Member September 17, 2005 He's going to stop using it when his last bottle runs out in a few days. Going to stick to a good diet and decent exercise. Sure did lose a lot of weight though. Hes the same age as me, 33, and havent seen him that skinny in 10 years.
