i'm heading up to Loveland Pass outside denver colorado today. if i don't make it back, i died happy:

"A blizzard hit Colorado's resorts, Denver and the Front Range yesterday, leaving powder and a huge impression on the conditions for skiing and riding over the weekend holiday break.

Wolf Creek, Silverton, and Durango received at least foot of snow or more, while Telluride, Eldora and Echo Mountain hit measurements well over a foot - 15 inches in some places - mid mountain by the time lunchtime rolled around yesterday."

pics from yesterday's storm (not me):

so in colorado, the winds come AFTER the storm. in tahoe, they came before the storm. i hiked the ridge (13,000') a couple tiimes in 80+ mph gusts. on top of that most of the snow got stuck in the front range and didn't make it up into summit county. it was good, but not as good as i hoped.
