Rashad December 23, 2006 Share Rashad Member December 23, 2006 I'm lookin for a Mini-IEEE 1394 to 9-pin cable to connect my external hard-drive to my laptop, trouble is I can't seem to find one. I did about an hour of searching and the closest thing I could find was a 4-pin to 9-pin here. but, the 4-pin dosn't quite look like my mini-IEEE port. Shropshire Slasher December 24, 2006 Share Shropshire Slasher Member December 24, 2006 That shape 4 pin is what I've always known as mini 1394. But then again, I've never seen a 9-pin like the honker in your pic. CEM
Rashad December 24, 2006 Author Share Rashad Member December 24, 2006 You sure such a thing exists? I'm not. Here's a pic. My mini-IEEE port is on the bottom, the 9-pin (FireWire 800) cable is on top.
boiler December 26, 2006 Share boiler Member December 26, 2006 (edited) that "mini" plug is a 4 pin plug. I have 4-pin to 6-pin cables to connect my digital camcorder to my desktop. If you can find a 9-pin to 4-pin cable, that should be what you need. all of my 4-pin connections look the same as the one in your picture!
