Escape December 28, 2006 Share Escape Member December 28, 2006 Hi guys, this is the guys from Escape. Computer place that rented computer at FragFest 2006. I talked to fatty and he told me I could post this but didn't know where to post so here goes. LOL We are starting to do tournaments at our store in 2007. We have some guys helping us set up the first tournament and it sill be Counter Strike 1.6. I know most of you are source guys but these guys play 1.6 so that is why we are doing that one first. If all goes well we would like to find people to help us put on other tournaments at our store. The CS:1.6 tournament will be Saturday January 6, starting at 11am. It is a 5 vs 5 team match, double elimination. $20 per person entry and top 3 places are paid out in cash prizes. CAL rules apply. If you would like any other information check out our web site at www.escapeplay.net or call the store. f you are in the Bedford area and bored that saturday feel free to stop by and see how it is going. Playaa December 28, 2006 Share Playaa Member December 28, 2006 too bad I live so far away...I first got into CS by playing 5v5 LAN tournaments at our local Gaming Store...it was a blast and so so so much more fun than playing this game online can be. My team used to consistently get 2nd place...always beat out by this team of little kids where the oldest one was 12 (this was back when I was 18). If anyone in Ohio has a chance to do this I highly encourage it...you'll definitely enjoy yourself.

Escape December 28, 2006 Author Share Escape Member December 28, 2006 Yes to answer a few questions. We have 16 computers and all loaded with CS:1.6. We will be using 10 of those computers for the tournament. $20 per person on the team includes entry into the tournament and chance at prize money for the top 3 teams. Due to time factor we are limiting the number of teams to 8, since we can only have one 5v5 match going on at a time. If this tournament takes off we will add 4 more machines so we can have 2 5v5 matches going on at a time. Also if this tournament works out we will be branching off into other games to do tournaments in like CS:S. I already mentioned this to Fatty, if we get to that point we may be asking for some help on setting a source tournament up. The $20 fee we understand is low but we are keeping it low since this is our first crack at tournaments. We want it low enough to attract enough people and people not get disappointed or upset if something should go wrong. Future tournament registration fees will likely be slightly higher. I will try and keep watch on this post to answer anymore questions or feel free to check out our web site www.escapeplay.net. Todd
