To: SIRIUS Subscribers

Today is a very exciting day for SIRIUS customers. As you may have heard, SIRIUS Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio are merging to form the nation's premier audio entertainment provider.

This combination of our two offerings will benefit you - our loyal listeners. As a single company, we'll provide superior programming to you every day with the best of both SIRIUS and XM. Currently, XM and SIRIUS broadcast a wide range of commercial-free music channels, exclusive sports coverage, news, talk, and entertainment programming. Howard Stern. Oprah and Friends. The NFL. MLB. NBA. ESPN. CNBC. Fox News. Additionally, the combined company will be able to improve existing services such as real-time traffic information and rear-seat video as well as introduce new ones.

After shareholder and regulatory approvals, we anticipate that the combination will be finalized by the end of 2007. Until then, both companies will continue to operate independently. We will continue to provide you with the uninterrupted service - as well as the outstanding customer support - that you have come to expect and enjoy from SIRIUS. We do not anticipate any changes in your service during the merger process, however, please call our customer care team on 1- 888-539-7474 should you have any questions.

We look forward to the many benefits this combination will offer and continuing to make your listening experience an enjoyable one - offering more of the Very Best Radio on Radio.

Stay tuned,

Well...I am sure it will go through since it's a paid service, not to mention the fact that XM would fold without this merger, which is why they are doing it, so it would still leave only 1 satelite radio company.

As far as an ipod over satelite? Cant get Howard Stern and hundreds of other live UNCENSORED shows on an ipod :)

I dont know how you had it installed Slaughter..or if XM is just suckier, but Sirius sounds CD quality :D

Can we say, "Space Junk"? :boo:

I experienced the trial period for XM sattelite radio. I was not very impressed. Audio quality was less than FM radio, plus the $12 month service fee make this one sour deal.

Your insane its digital quality and i get no fuzz. And the only time i cant get a signal is in my driveway under my 30 ft pine trees.

It's like buying bottled water ....

why? :shrug03:

If you don't like the taste of tap water, buy a filter.

If you don't like commercials, listen to your cds or mp3 players.

Well if you live in the sticks you dont get a lot of options. When you go on long trips you run out of cds. This has everything fox news which i love to listen to and Christian stations that are better than radio ones unless you live in ohio they have the best. Plus a family member of mine works for them so I feel like I am supporting them. They always got Chrysler or dodge vehicles to support what I do. Oh and the dif will be between no fcc laws you can say what you want and there are a lot of peeps out there that like that. For instance there is this one song "I wanna love you " not sure the name of it but it doesnt say love in the original lol. Found out the hard way. My friends little sister was in the car and when i turned it on I dove to turn it off :P

And there is no copy guilt if you have that.

i love my ipod, so i dont find any use for Sattelite radio. As well, if i was to get it just for Howard Stern or something of that nature, im not going to pay 12 a month to listen to this guy, unless he is giving me tips on how to safe money (that are useless)

I hope it does go through. We have XM in our Acura. But Sirus is better as far as programming. I personally am excited about this possible merger. And as far as costs? Well every year I cancel and renew my subscription for half the price. All you need to do is tell them u think its too high and they will resubscribe you for $77/year. Usually only takes me one call. I think its because I'm a lady. :)

This won't make it through the Trade Commission. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I was just thinking that! But look at AT&T and Bell south's merge.

And the time AT&T merged with SBC

And the time AT&T merged with Cingular.

It might happen.

Nah...even though you are a very nice lady...it's really because XM kinda sucks and has been getting spanked by Sirius beginning when Stern first announced his move there. XM has been basically giving the service away to keep people so they can keep the subscription numbers up...even though revenue was going down...and here we are...merger time :D

Or...it could be because you are a lady :shrug03:
