ShadowDog February 26, 2007 Share ShadowDog Member February 26, 2007 I heard this movie got some bad reviews... anyone see it yet and want to put in their two cents?
mookie February 26, 2007 Share mookie GC Alumni February 26, 2007 My brother said it was good. I overheard some people in one of my classes saying it sucked, but they also said that Jim Carey couldn't successfully do non-comedies.

[LaW]Maverick February 26, 2007 Share [LaW]Maverick Member February 26, 2007 Meh, I wasn't overly impressed... I liked the wait it ended sorta...but there's still a lot of cliche's in there... That being said...I thought it was a bit contrived. I'd give it a C or C- Some people really liked it though, and I'm fairly picky when it comes to movies that try to throw in a lot of twists...I get very analytical of the plot elements and what not, but that's the writer in me
Thief_Lord February 26, 2007 Share Thief_Lord Member February 26, 2007 Well, I for one loved it. It was not that scary but I can't name any better actor than him for the main character! Well.... maybe Sean Connery (but you can't beat him can you?)
[LaW]Maverick February 26, 2007 Share [LaW]Maverick Member February 26, 2007 I do agree that Jim Carey did a good job in the movie though I'm still impressed with his more serious roles...he's a good actor (as long as you can keep ace ventura or Fire Marshal Bill outta your head)

Playaa February 27, 2007 Share Playaa Member February 27, 2007 I haven't seen it, but it managed to get a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes that doesn't tell me anything. Alot of people hate Jim Carrey in anything that doesn't resemble "stupidly funny". I think he's a brilliant serious actor. On top of that...most of the people who would want to see this movie AND post on Rotten Tomatoes are geeks...and if geeks have one failing when it comes to reviewing movies...it's that they are WAAY too critical of things that don't matter in a film. I'm one of those people that can ignore minor plot holes because I watch films to be entertained so I don't go out of my way to find things not to like. Playaa March 5, 2007 Share Playaa Member March 5, 2007 so question...is this movie supposed to be a horror or something? I thought it was just a psychological thriller but every preview before the movie was for these gory horror movies and the female I was with HATES horror movies so we left and saw Bridge to Terabithia instead (which was actually better than I expected)
stutters March 5, 2007 Share stutters GC Alumni March 5, 2007 CABLE GOOGLA i actually just saw it and it was good until the end when he put on his tin foil cap and removed his fillings to stop being tracked by the administration.
