Dental Amalgams

I have been doing a little research on this debate and, quite frankly, I'm a little

startled about it. Does anyone know anything about this? Duke, maybe being in

the pharmecutical field? Becca, your in school to be a nurse correct? This has the

potential of playing a very pivital role in my life. If it has not already.

I've heard nothing bad about them...but that doesn't mean anything.

I remember when I was 15 our science teacher had a lead ball floating in an open beaker of mercury. There was no concern of mercury vapor or toxicity, it was just a metal ball floating in liquid metal (cool demonstration) . Nowadays the EPA comes beating down your door if you happen to break your old thermostat...

I'd contact the cancer research sites to see if they are attempting to link cancer to these types of fillings or...gasp... see if there are any lawyers forming a suit against the makers.

Sorry I don't have any better info...

composites can now compete with amalgams in strength for the molars...iow that which was cosmetic is now fully functional...like my def star
