YoMamma July 10, 2007 Share YoMamma Member July 10, 2007 Ever since I updated Xfire last night I have been having problems with CS. Every time I try to connect to CS, i get a virus saying: Scan type: Realtime Protection ScanEvent: Virus Found! Virus name: Trojan Horse File: C:\DOCUME~1\BRIAN~1.BRI\LOCALS~1\Temp\~23.tmp Location: Quarantine Computer: BRIANS User: Brian Action taken: Clean failed : Quarantine succeeded : Access denied Date found: Mon Jul 09 23:58:08 2007 and a message via Steam saying: Steam - Error This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time. I deleted Xfire, reinstalled Steam, and got the same message. Any ideas?

ZeroDamage July 10, 2007 Share ZeroDamage Member July 10, 2007 Sounds like a false detection by your AV of some Steam files or CSS files. I would disable the antivirus when gaming and you will probably need to reinstall Steam. (You can backup your css directory though).
YoMamma July 10, 2007 Author Share YoMamma Member July 10, 2007 Thx ZD and Jackie. You were right when you said to turn off the AV before opening CS. The game works again! I still don't understand what causes my AV to think CS is a virus.
