ilovetomatoes September 23, 2007 Author Share ilovetomatoes Member September 23, 2007 My hate level is growing as I am now addicted to this game, but my PC is on the fritz, and keeps craping out at random intervals. Running memtest now to see if its a RAM thing, but if not, I may have to upgrade, and that is going to be costly...

ilovetomatoes September 23, 2007 Author Share ilovetomatoes Member September 23, 2007 It will just freeze up, I will either get all graphical distortions on the screen, or the screen will go black. Also, sound in the background gets "stuck" on a 1 sec -ish loop until I reboot. It happens in CS too, but there I can usually cntrl-alt-del it, look at the task manager for a moment, then go back in and its fine. I think its something to do with my graphics card, but I cant be 100% yet... Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Unclean September 23, 2007 Share Unclean Member September 23, 2007 Update your videocard drivers -- I had the same problem until I did that (and Steam released a patch for TF2).
Windex September 24, 2007 Share Windex Member September 24, 2007 ahh i've been having the same problem.. i was going to fix it by going out and buying a 512 card lol
ilovetomatoes September 25, 2007 Author Share ilovetomatoes Member September 25, 2007 Yeah, had the vid drivers updated already, but problem was still there. Then it started crashing doing IM and the like, I think my graphics card is toast. New one in the mail now, should be here in a couple days. AND I had to get a 22in widescreen monitor to go with it . So yeah, no TF2 till that PC is back up, thank god for the lappy or I'd be going insane...
