I have these Logitech 350's and I love em. Plug in and go, no setup or drivers or anything. Cheaper models, can't vouch for them. Bewildered September 27, 2007 Share Bewildered Member September 27, 2007 Personally, I'm partial to the higher quality monitor-style headphones -- like Sennheiser. The mic is the cheap part of the package. I'd rather get a completely separate mic that can be clipped on your shirt and easily disconnected. I'm not sure how good my current mic sounds, but its just a cheap ol logitech stand mic that I move about six inches in front of my face when I play CS; but good quality headphones are indispensable. I'm not sure how close it needs to be for good reception though.

Penty September 27, 2007 Share Penty Member September 27, 2007 You need to be careful if you have a desk mic that is not usb. If you run it too close to any power cords it will probably pick up hum.
anonymo September 28, 2007 Share anonymo Member September 28, 2007 Do they make USB standalone mics? I thought your whole question was concerning USB headsets?
