Lunk April 4, 2003 Share Lunk Member April 4, 2003 All right, I need some help with my vid card. Ever since I upgraded to XP I only get 60 fps. When I used to get 99.999 with ME. Here is the vid card I have: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400. Is there a setting I can change on it to get back up to the max fps? If so can one of you guys let me know what it is. Thanks. Asphyxiator April 4, 2003 Share Asphyxiator Member April 4, 2003 Get on google and look up refresh lock. It will force CS to play at the same refresh rate as your desktop. Thats one of the NT/2000/XP problems, but that works really well for me.
dwEEziL April 4, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member April 4, 2003 All I have ever done for XP is have the latest nVidia drivers and disabled vsync like Rackish described.
Magruter April 4, 2003 Share Magruter Member April 4, 2003 This is what i did and it seems to be working. Go to your device manager, video card, settings, advanced, on the bottom lower part of the window there's a place to enter text, and type, Mag>Lunk That should fix your problem. Chief April 4, 2003 Share Chief Member April 4, 2003 I'm using nVidia hardpage from: http://www.guru3d.com There is a refresh rate fix on there. I haven't gotten it working on my computer yet, but I'm still tweaking things. Chief
