ZeroDamage January 7, 2009 Share ZeroDamage Member January 7, 2009 I recently used the PhotoRec application. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec Be absolute sure to chose the file types that you want to recover and do not select the rest. I recently did this for an Apple hard drive not knowing what the user needs recovered. It's bad enough that the application does not maintain the file names but instead breaks them down into batches. But it also will back up everything from source files, text files, temp files and everything. I recovoered 90+ GB that the user is still going through now. If it hadn't taken so damn long and the hard drive wasn't on its last legs, I would have done it again but with just the types of files he uses every day. Great application.
