And this brings up the old valid question. Team imbalance here. Ive heard it a million times. But I dont think that everyone realizes that at least here, there are those that work to balance it, and admins that work to oversee it. Compared to other servers where no one ever cares or even propigates it themselves?.... In that light I dont think a WHOLE map or even two ( where the maps are capped at 10 and changed on a 7-0 skunk) is really all that bad....ya know? GG guys!

OK, heres a question: How much differnece does it make changing your virtual mem? I have always had to det to initial of 2700MB, max of 4000MB. I recently changed it to 600/600 to get an old game to play ( dont know why it worked, but the forums said do it and it worked). I jsut changed them back. Does this/ would this affect gameplay in any way with diff settings? How so? How Much? Thanks!

Maybe Im totally off here, but part of the interest in the game is that it is suppsoed to change ITSELF depending on the number of players. IE the more players join, the larger the current map is. Therefore I wouldnt think you have to worry about setting it large and then only a few running around and cant find each other. Im only guess from what info I have heard and dont knwo the facts, but if this is accurate, very cool.

No. It logged his info, sent it to valve, and in a week or two he will find that his entire steam account is banned from all servers (every game he plays that uses it ) including every game he will ever play on that account. Only solution is to re-buy all your games, and make a new steam account ...ow

It pulled up this guy I never heard of as part of the clan.. clikced his name He has like a bazillion alias, including the names of someone on our clan And the names of people he's killed!! (He has played as twc whiteyford And killed twcwhiteyford. FIgure that one out) Also, his ID?.... pending? say huh? He didnt jsut show up once and leave either ...he is still coming around. Look at his server connection list on the right. Is this some kind of glitch? Something explainable? Zester...I had the same prob when I had DSL. It was a moisture problem. After several line tests and the phone company fighting with the dsl company, one of them replaced some tingymajigger out on the pole and no more rain/dew problems!

wow....I like all this stuff. Interesting and Im learning things..thanks. As far as choke, I used to get up to and a little over 100 here, so I meesed with the config for like a month straight. Then for quite a while I ran at generally 0, rarely up to 12. I was lovin that! However, all of a sudden, I get chokes exceeding 50 at least once per round. Maybe 3 weeks its been happening?...guessing here. I havent changed anything in my configs..its jsut higher. Dunno if that helps or not..

Thats the whole reason I went with the 6600gt. Im stil running agp (4x actually), so it made no sense to spend that much on a card and then limit it so badly. If you plan on upgrading sometime fairly soon ( like a year) I wouldnt spend the xtra money for a big agp. In a year, pci-e will be the standard and the vid cards will be scary.

Well, also source is completely unplayable with a modem connection, but I knew a LOT of people that played the older versins with modems. Maybe that has something to do with it? Hardware and networking speeds? And maybe their ole trusty hacks dont work in steam so,....

well, by the benches, the 9800xt does a Little bit better in higher res's. You run in the 1600X catagory? Otherwise, if theres a big price diff, Id go with 6600gt. I wouldnt drop a big wad for 15 more frames at 1600x1200

Im still a little worried about it detecting rate changes/sound/vid settings etc as a cheat. For example, M2s lowsetttings.cfg which I modified a little to fit my machine better. For ex, does is consider it a cheat if you dont have rain and rain sound on aztec?
