  1. Why don't we get a before-Christmas super-saver day? It's not fair. I'm hoping to pick up a good HD-tv on Boxing day. 50" HDTV, 1080p resolution rate, I'm looking at 2 grand. again But I want the ultimate experience out of my Ps3.
  2. I feel, regardless of a holiday's origin, there should be a day to celebrate the things we have. No matter what the origins of Thanksgiving are, everyone should spend a day to be thankful for everything they have. I'm thankful for: family, health, steady job good friends, enough money in my pocket to enjoy life comfortably and obviously to live in a country where I am free to do so the post office which made me very happy today and other stuff.
  3. I remember reading that what we've seen with the PS3 hardly scratches the surface of what it's capable of, I'm too lazy to find the source (think it was IGN interview) so take this with a grain of salt if you want. The PS3 is very quiet, overall a more powerful machine but obviously, much more expensive too. There's a whole article on IGN that compares the three consoles in many different categories, with PS3 on top, then 360, then Wii. The online potential I BELIEVE will be made into something that at least comapres to XBOX live. And since MGS 4 is the end of the main series, there's no way in blazes it will go anywhere near the other consoles. So I think the real question here is: When do I get to play Zone of the Enders 3 on my ps3? We'll never know. I think the best solution, is wait as long as you possibly can and see how much can play out, without missing out. Oh, and Gears of War was okay. It's an amazing game, but not TOO radically different from other FPS. The story is rather shallow really, kinda like Killzone.
  4. Man, that's 3-grand in the pocket, considering buying another one after selling that one. That bugs me. I could've/should've pre-ordered but didnt even bother cause I don't want a PS3 yet.
  5. You should try working at Taco Bell. Me: Hard or soft shell? DT: Hot sauce. Me: Sorry, do you want hard or soft shell tacos? DT: No thank you. ME: Do you want HARD or SOFT shell tacos with your combo #3!? DT: I said, NO THANK YOU! Me:........Drive through, please....... That's not exaggerated in any way, it happens at least once a night, if not more. Then there's my personal favorite: DT: Could I get a sprite please? Me: We don't have sprite or 7-Up. DT: 7-Up's fine. As for myself, I'm not even going to look around for a ps3. I didn't pre-order one, so obviously, there's not going to be one availabe anywhere. Ask your manager if you can put up a big sign, saying no PS3, and maybe a small descript. about the situation.
  6. We are insects!! This stuff blows my mind.
  7. Yea, it's RPG Maker Xp. And the game is due out some time in 2009. There is a legal version on download.com for $30, I think. Or you can search for the free, fan-translated version which is much better anyway, called Postality Knight's edition. Make sure you get 2.0 Unless you have some artistic background, you can expect to not make games any better than SNES-quality with it, but it's really easy. But really, if I work hard enough on it, I can be done in 2-4 months.
  8. Yeah that about sums it up... it seems real time but there is still the turn based status bar thing going on... if that makes any sense. But it is a pretty sweet game so far. I'm really, REALLY hating the battle system right now. It's boring and plays itself, just like FFXI. It's cool how your party runs around with you though. If you're looking for a cool RPG, there's always the one that I'M making.
  9. Ouch! That's some cynicism, Mo. Also very true. Of course it doesnt, you're a Canadian!
  10. I second that. Then again, EA would have to come out with a good game in order for that to happen. And the chances of that are.....? Luckily, my bro is getting Wii and will lend it to me when he's done. I can't wait to play Twilight Princess. I'm going to be letting out battle cries and leaping about the room as I fight baddies. Luckily, I live alone, so that's all good.
  11. I know Bill Gates does alot, in fact, all of those are good points, and I know they don't have any obligation to people to do the 'right' thing all the time. My main greivance was my third point - Microsoft is also leading the front on incorporating their "trustworthy" computing scheme. I don't want to end up being locked out of my own computer, which looks like the direction this is going if it isnt stopped. Which is why I don't have grievances with Sony, cause while you're also right about those things, once again it's the third point that really grinds my gears. GEARS of War, that is! .....Sorry...,,,
  12. Microsoft is NEVER cool. They work endlessly to screw over the consumer, overprice their products for the home consumer and continue to integrate technology into all their products to give you less and less freedom with what you do with your own product. Halo 2 for PC will ONLY work on Windows Vista. Why? Cause Microsoft says so. The only reason they want ppl to buy Vista is for the reasons listed above, especially the third. But that is a pretty neat feature. I've always been jealous of XBox live, if Sony was smart, they'd put more effort into their online gaming. Supposedly DMC4 is going to have some kind of online support, if not online gameplay, I'm looking forward to what that will be.
  13. Gears of War looks amazing. It's the only game that makes me consider buying an XBox360. Sooner or later, I'll get to play it on a friend's console, so I'm still not bought. And it's only 10 more days until the ultimate gaming experience is out people!
  14. You mean the program he's showing, getting the balls into the basket? That's just a physics program, you can find it on school computers if you steal one. Here it is: http://www.knowplay.com/science/interactive-physics.html

    Top 49 Men

Don't mistake the meaning of the list - it's essentially the top ppl that most men want to be. People living the american dream, etc. The kind of guys that women look at and don't think, 'men really are nothing but lazy, stupid and self-centered slobs'.

    Top 49 Men

Top 49 Men This is interesting and a good read - the top 49 that best represent male-kind, whatever that means. I suppose these are good picks . . . the head of the Virgin empire is definitely a good example. I'm just wondering why I'm not up there . . . No wisecracks about me being more sasquatch than man, Mo.
  17. That cingular one was good. lol. Here's mine. And I can't find that commercial, but there's the one where the kid is talking online with a girl and he types 'Call my name, baby. Call it loud.' and in the background you hear 'Oh, Stallion!' and the kid's like 'MOM!?!?'
  18. Believe it or not, such is the future of gaming people. You can't play Halo 2 for PC without buying Windows vista. It's just proof that companies don't give two craps about their customers and they never have. We're losing more of our rights as customers every day - even things we buy are more like 'renting' them from the companies that make them. I've always hated EA too, ever since they bought Westwood. (many of the developers there disbanded because they didnt want to work for EA)
  19. That is a good looking bird. I suppose a bigger one wouldn't be too bad. We had a parakeet, I think - it was very small, but noisy and would always bite. You'd have to pet it with one finger. That drawing is going to give me nightmares.
  20. What is YOUR favourite kind of animal!? I like dogs and only dogs, fish are semi-cool. Rats, gerbils, especially BUNNIES > are all lazy and boring, they just sit around and eat, somewhat like cats too. Snake/lizards are usually boring too and not cute to cuddle. Birds are noisy and bite alot, so they're annoying. Looking at thisd list, I've had every kind of those animals except a snake or lizard. I should get one and complete my collection. And my vote being for dogs, I will go one step further by showing the greatest (not refutable) breed of dogs there is: Dachshunds. In33d. http://www.kateconnick.com/postcards/page4c.html And let's not forget my seal of thread approval!
  21. ARrrrgghhhh, Sarisquatch angry!!! I spent TWO months planning a crew get-together to go to Mandarin and see Prestige afterwards. Everything went great for six weeks, with many people signing up, then all of a sudden people start dropping off like flies - no money, too busy, simply don't want to --- then why did you sign up in the first place!?!?! We're down from 18 ppl to 6!! 6!! So today's the day, I go to get my laundry done - the laundry room is closed for repairs and I literally have nothing to wear (let alone something decent). I go online to see when the movie's playing: It's not playing at ALL, ANYWHERE in Hamilton!! Our best option is Jack***: two and it doesnt even start until 4 hours after our dinner! Now I have to call everyone up and tell them the dinner's been pushed back. Naturally, everyone starts cancelling because it comes to my attention that another crew member is throwing a kegger late tonight! Long story short, my mandarin dinner is not going to happen and that makes me frustrated. And when I get frustrated, people die. I think I'll go to that kegger too .... with an M4.
