I play alot of MW2 in my down time on-base, and i currently play on the 15" Zenith (with built in VCR) that the Army was kind enough to provide for me in my barracks. However, I feel an upgrade is needed, and have spent many hours looking for a good replacement. Plasma is out of the question, due to burn in, and LED-LCD's are pushing my budget. Basically, i'm looking for a 32" or smaller TV/monitor that would be optimal for gaming on. I'm impressed by a few models already, but would like your opinions on certain features. 120hz: i read that this is a pretty important feature for gaming, as it reduces motion blur quite a bit. contrast ratio: what is a good number, because i see numbers from 10k to 4M, and i really can't tell that much of a difference... 720p vs 1080p: really that big of a deal? i've heard that xbox just upscales 1080p from 720p anyways Tv vs monitor: what are the pros and cons, performance wise? i'm not really worried about size, but if i got a monitor, it would have to be 24" or larger, so for this reason i'm leaning towards tv's i don't really care about all the little frillies that tv's are coming out with these days, so netflix, youtube, skype, ...one button pizza ordering...i just want the raw product. a Tv with little to no motion lag and accurate colors. Hey all, I haven't been active on the servers or forums for a while, as I've been away in basic training after i enlisted last july. The new site looks great! What all has changed since I've been gone? any news? I don't have a pc to play CS:S, but i have a 360 and play MW2 regularly, and occasionally, halo3 (whenever my friends force me to ha) If you wanted to add me, my gamertag is 'mistah ARK' I don't know if any of you remember me, but browsing around for the last few minutes has brought back some laughs, I'll probably be logging on here consistently again. good to be back, GC!

FINALLY no more school! just graduated from cambridge-isanti high school, june 10th! only thing is... what the crap do i do now? i was playing just a few minutes ago, and there were several tkers at the beginning of the rnd who would attack, reload and attack more, obviously not an accident, so i killed one or 2 i think...just cuz it was so early in the round and i wanted to stay in. they were later banned, and i was watching a tunnel, and suddenly a terrorist stepped oround the corner, but just as i fire, my teammate walks right in front of me... so i put 2 in the back of his head accidentally, which some how killed him in 2 hits? anyways so yah, it was completely by accident, and i would appreciate it if i could get an unban plz? thank you, eph i was playing on my dad's account btw, the name and steam ID was "EkauQ<eph's dad>" STEAM_0:0:5182682

yeah...i kinda replied to the original post...without reading the rest. iiiiiii...feel kinda dumb.

so i sent in my application for IHOP's Forerunner Music Academy finally, (i think i've mentioned this here before...) and i really hope that i can get in...but there are tons of things that really need to happen before i would actually be able to go there. 1. i need a high paying job the tuition is 2200 a semester, and i will be counting on 300$ a month for renting a house with 3 other guys down there, so money is a huge issue, considering that i cannot get a federal Stafford loan, any government grant, funding etc because it is non-accredited. they are getting accredited sometime in the near future, but until then, i cannot get any help from the gov. pray that i get a job, and soon 2. i NEED blessings there is no way that i will be able to make it down there if i dont get huge gifts...i just simply won't be able to make enough money at my job. the highest paying one that I've found is around 10$/hr for landscaping, but i would really rather avoid that because of the nature of the job, I'm not a fan of that kind of work. pray that i get blessed incredibly. 3. need to get accepted heh yeah i suppose that should be #1 eh. but yeah, i sent in my app, and if they like it, they'll let me know and I'll go down there for a live audition with one of my buddy's, if he gets accepted. pray we both get accepted and that our auditions go well. 4. need new instruments the instruments i have now are a yamaha fx-335 acoustic(crap) and a schecter omen-6(not complete crap, but i need something better). also, i'm starting to learn bass this year, and will need a bass guitar before i leave. pray that on top of all my expenses, i will have enough to get a good instrument. i'm looking in the 500$^ price range. by the way, on top of getting ready for college, applying for a job, and finishing my last year of high school this year, i have to move! its not a big deal socially, I'll still be in the same community, only 6 miles away, but its still a huge deal.

I tried this & it prompted me for a password saying "these options are for advanced users only" tried my steam pass. but would'nt work any suggestions? that isnt a password prompt, it's the boot options. type stuff like -dxlevel 60 and stuff there; you can have as much as you want there, but make sure that there are spaces in between the commands
