  1. I'm excited to just have more GC folks back playing this so I'm not soloing Act I over and over and over and over. Tried Act II solo, only made it to Oasis before I closed out of frustration.
  2. I'm planning on picking this up bundled with Half Life 3, since I got CS:S with HL2. See you guys in the server in about 10 years.
  3. Thinking of using the insurance money from the destroyed Wii to get a 3DS XL instead. Haven't owned a handheld since OG Gameboy. Thoughts?

I can't speak for the Mario games but there are a lot of good JRPGs if you are into them. The list is pretty much infinite.

I haven't played much in the way of JRPGs. About the only one I can think of is Chrono Trigger, but I freaking love that game. Any in particular for DS/3DS that are recommended?

There is Chrono Trigger for the DS. I usually play strategy games like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. Believe it or not the pokemon games are quite fun.

  4. Intriguing. I might be interested in trying this out.
  5. Still playing, also farming Act I Inferno with my DH. I'm pretty happy with my gear so far, do quite a bit of damage and do not get 1 hit killed (except when grabbed by Butcher, what a jerk). My barbarian is lvl 59, and I'm trying to farm a better weapon for him so that I have options to round out any potential GC party. I feel like I'm close to moving on to Act II, but I have a feeling it will be much harder than I am expecting.
  6. ROFL A+++++++ THREAD WOULD LOL AGAIN
  7. A moment of silence, please, for my beloved N64 which was lost in the house fire. I really wish you hadn't taken my Ocarina of Time cartridge with you, but you will be greatly missed.

N64 = craigslist cheap; prob Ocarina as well. House fire? Pics? Damage? Start a thread!

I'll take two moments. This is a sad day.

  8. I know this is old, but in case anyone was on the fence about getting the PC version after frustrations with the PC version of BL1, Claptrap is here to woo you back.
  9. I just pre-ordered a PC copy. Cannot freaking wait for 870 Bajillion more guns getting Bajilliondier. Not sure about the 96.5% more wub wub, but I can work with it. Anyone else planning to pick this up? What is your version of choice? I completely missed out on multiplayer for BL1 and I want to make sure I can blast some fools with GC folks this time around. I'm assuming that PC will be the version of choice 'round these parts, but if more people are going for 360 or something I might switch my pre-order.
  10. I'm too curious, I ID everything almost as soon as I get it. That moment of anticipation, where you're crossing your fingers for something good.... it's great! It almost always shows up as a crap item, but those moments before it....
  11. That is, indeed, a steal. Hell, you could ride it for a year then turn around and sell it for profit to fund another Harley!
  12. I had two ilvl 62 recipes drop for me soloing Act I, shield and chest I believe. No legendaries since I doubled up on Angel Hair Braid in one night last week though.
  13. The worst is I get one that starts off with a ocean liner's horn "HHHRRRRRRNNNNNNNN" - I've never stuck around to see what they're selling me, or if it's actually a friend being held captive at sea, but they call at least once a month. I'm guessing it's the latter, personally. They want to trade your friend's life for some phat beatz.
  14. If that's the case, you would be much happier with something larger than the last two you posted. There is no way I would want to ride 86 miles per day on a Sportster. Call me a wuss if you want, but they are just not comfortable for very long stretches, not to mention you will be very limited on the saddlebag space. Honda Shadow, Suzuki Boulevard, Harley Dyna is about the size range that has a good balance between comfort, carrying ability, and manueverability (read: lighter). I believe the Harley Dyna series is a little larger than the Shadow and some smaller Boulevards, and it will be more expensive as well (great bikes though!) They will be a little pricier than the comparable models you listed, but if you look hard enough you can find used ones roughly in your price range. Last year a relative sold a 2 year old Honda Shadow with barely any miles on it plus side bags, highway bar and windshield for less than $5500. It was very confortable to ride and was VERY easy to handle in slow manuevering and tight spaces.
  15. The Rebels and Sportsters are good starter bikes, but if this becomes more than just a once-a-month-around-town hobby, then you're probably going to want something bigger long-term. From my experience, they are not very comfortable for long rides. That Rebel for $2700 would be a good choice if you aren't sure how you will like it or how much you will ride. The Sportster would be good as well, although more expensive. Harleys do tend to hold their value pretty well, but beware! The addicition is strong, and you may find yourself craving just one more custom piece or "maybe I should see how much I can get in trade for this Sportster on this like-new Dyna over here..."
  16. Anything in particular on Craigslist that is grabbing your eye? Narrowed it down any? We'd be happy to provide feedback
  17. Yay for GC discounts! But seriously, I can give you SOMETHING for it. I'll be on sometime tonight. Not sure if I have anything for trade though that would be useful to you, but I can offer a decent chunk of gold!
  18. Your budget is a big determining factor, but cheaper cruiser alternatives are Suzuki Boulevard series or Honda Shadows. Do not buy a Goldwing or I will mock you for riding an old man's bike. If you've got a little more scratch, you can't beat a classic Harley. A used Softtail or Dyna would be a good size - comfortable enough for longer rides, but small enough to be easy to handle/maneuver in tight spaces until you're more experienced. My ride of choice is a H-D Roadking, as it's extremely comfortable for both me and my wife on the back. That would be a bike you step up to though - very big and very heavy. MOST IMPORTANT PART: I cannot recommend highly enough that you take a motorcycle rider training course. I don't care how much you know or how much experience you have, these courses should be mandatory. My dad had been riding for almost 30 years when he took the course, and he learned a bunch during it. I took it before I got my motorcycle endorsement on my license, and it was invaluable. I took it through ABATE of Indiana, and they might have courses available in Virginia as well. A quick search turned up this site: http://learn2ride.com/ At least in Indiana, taking and passing this course counts as the riding portion of your MC endorsement test for the BMV. The course I took also has a classroom aspect that prepared us for the written test. Riding motorcycles is awesome and if you're anywhere near the south-western part of the state near the mountains, you will find some INCREDIBLE roads to ride. Take a course first though so you can be confident and do it SAFELY!
  19. OYEAH? well, my DH dies in act 2 in 1solo hit!!! there's goes 10k for repair =/ what's your dps on your weapon? I farmed a pretty nice crossbow that i've been trying to sell on AH but i cant find the right selling price. It's almost 1100dps. Possibly interested in your crossbow, but I'm guessing I don't have anough gold for it GC discount? I too am leveling a Barbarian, so I'm interested in tips for the build. I'm assuming all resist is key so I can stand in the plague pools, etc. while spamming revenge. I'm only on Act II Nightmare at the moment, but it has been a cake walk with all of the health regen skills and passives I have chosen.
  20. On my DH, I don't have specific MF gear that I make sure to strap on. What I run with has about %64 MF (I think) before NV stacks. I think with full NV, the number bumps up to 160ish, but I might be way off. Only checked it once I think. Once I get the NV up to 5, I'm getting at least one rare (sometimes two) per elite pack as well as the requisite 2 rares per boss kill. I've only been "grinding" at lvl 60 for a few days, and my pack gets filled pretty quickly, with roughly 1/4 of it rares. Granted, since I'm in Hell most of it is useless lvl 50-58 stuff.
  21. Add two more legendaries for me, collected on the same night with 5 NV. Both Angel Hair Braid though, so nothing too exciting. I got one of them from a Smoldering Armor Rack on the bridge in Act III. Still haven't moved to Inferno - my first 8 attempts at Diablo resulted in spectacular failure, so I'm grinding III/IV Hell until I get a little better stuff (or get some outside help at clearing Diablo). At this point though most Elite packs in Hell are dispatched quickly without much fanfare, which is encouraging.
  22. This seems relevant to the discussion: [utube]a6iW-8xPw3k[/utube]
  23. I've been to the bar once, on Normal, and found nothing useful, save someone selling health potions I already had loads of. Will have to try walking back though to bask in my own glory!
  24. Sorry about the hack, glad you got your stuff back though! I use the smartphone app and it is super easy. takes me an extra three seconds to log in, and provides a little piece of mind.
  25. 1 legendary: Helm - Blind Faith Stats are most appropriate for my Barb, but they're a little underwhelming overall, IMO. I was expecting a little better for a legendary. Note: I don't have any class at lvl 60 yet. I got this helm in Act I Hell.
