About 6 months ago I was looking for a computer at a reasonable price when I walked into my local Best Buy. I found the "perfect" computer, an Emachines T4170 for only $699, for me this was a powerhouse 1.6 Ghz, 60 Gig hard drive, 17 inch flat screen moniter, and a CD burner to boot. I bought the thing in a heartbeat, thinking I had found something too good to be true... indeed it was. I have owned this computer for only 6 months and it did what I needed for awhile, I could download Mp3's and most importantly play CounterStrike/Hallf-Life plus other assorted games (GTA3, Return to Wolfenstein, all the essentials). Last night as I was typing my English report, the screen went blue and the computer wouldnt shutdown or anything, so I unplugged it and now it won't reboot, it won't even turn on the monitor. Turns out that 75% of emachine shipments come with a faulty power supply for which no company makes replacement parts... So I went to look for troubleshooting tips on the net and found www.emachinessuck.com. I wish I had seen this site earlier for I now know I have made the biggest $900 mistake in my life... Moral to the Story: If you see an Emachines RUN AWAY, and if it is too good to be true, it probably is. Anyway, no Counterstrike for me for a long time.

Negative. In light of a string of recent bad luck on my part, not only has the wireless lan crapped out, but my 6 month old $900 dollar emachines computer has died... I have no computer to play CS on, I have no computer to dowload music on, nothing.... DONT EVER BUY AN EMACHINE!!! P.S. IF you are wondering how I am posting this reply, I am on a POS dell from like 1995, it sucks

Yeah, just in the last few days I've been getting about 400-600 ping and been getting a connection failure every 20 minutes. My wireless has excellent reception (as shown by the control panel) and I get good downloads. I think it just doesnt agree with Counterstrike, but I will be getting my own modem soon and paying a monthly fee for cable, so it will be good in a while.

For anyone who cares, which no one probably does, I will not be playing CS for a while because my wireless lan has decided to crap out and give me a consistent 600 ping on all servers, so I will be taking a leave of absence until my dad gets his lazy bum up and helps me get my own modem and cable line. I know this is a MAJOR impact on the Mmmm community , but alas (a good word for this sort of situation) I will miss playing for a while but will be on your friendly neighborhood forums as much as possible. Until then, it is PODbot for me...

This is the Creationism vs. Evolution paper i wrote for science class in sixth grade, its not great, but its pretty good for a sixth grader. Creationism and evolution are two positions on the origin of the earth's varied organisms. Creationism is the theory that God created the earth and all the living organisms in six days. Evolution is the theory that organisms evolved from a common ancestor or ancestors. There are those who believe in Creationism, or Creationists, and evolution at once, but when people believe in Strict Creationism, they believe only in Creationism, and Strict Evolution, only in evolution. In Creationism, God created the Earth and all its organisms in six days, each day adding a new thing, such as the oceans and the organisms. It says that God created the land and water organisms were made to bring the Earth to life and humans for the purpose of dominating over the plants, animals, and Earth. In the theory of Creationism, all the plants and animals that exist now and forever were made during the first six days, although some religious people believe in both evolution and Creationism. If they do believe in the change of life forms, the mechanism for that change is the adaptation to environment by religious means, meaning God gave them the gifts that they acquired. This change would have happened to ensure the survival of the life on Earth. In Evolutionism, life started when the "primordial soup, consisting of various gases and proteins, was being given the sacred energy of life by the lightning strikes that flashed across the newly formed Earth, allowing the "primordial soup" to turn into living organisms in freak, yet unbelievably lucky, accidents. Life had no purpose of starting in the Evolution theory, but was actually a random chance. In Evolutionism, the whole basis is that the organisms, probably one celled life, which came from the oceans evolved into higher organisms, namely the first reptiles and fish, and evolution has also been seen in species of many organisms. The theory of how life evolved in Evolutionism is that mutations in the genes of the organisms changed the frequency of their alleles and often changed them into completely new organisms, also the isolation of populations, population migration, and also catastrophic changes in the Earth. The changes of the organisms resulted, according to Evolutionism, in the organisms need to adapt to their environment, or it may have happened randomly. The areas of agreement between the two positions are that in some way, organisms have been created from or by a single entity, in Creation sense, God created all the organisms, and in Evolution sense, an ancestor organism in which all the others evolved from. Although these may seem different, the same idea is withheld that all the organisms may be related in some way, either God created them all, or they are all from the same species of organism. The areas that there is no agreement between both positions are that in Creationism, all the organisms on the Earth were created at the same time, while in Evolution, all organisms were evolved and created at different times throughout history. Also, in Evolution, Humans are thought to have been evolved from apes, while in Creationism, God is said to have created Adam and Eve, the first humans, from dust on the Earth and they were not evolved from apes. There are many disagreements about Creationism and Evolution, although either may be correct or incorrect, it may not be known. The debate goes on, and although scientists work and religious leaders search, anything is possible.

I probably speak for Ak too when I ask for a tweak guide to wireless lan and how to eliminate packet loss. I get excellent reception, am only about 50 feet away from the router, but I still get lagout. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would be SO HAPPY!!!! Thanks This is Pvt_Jimmah, Signing Out...

Yeah LaG Plat is Great! I ping about 70-90 on normal servers (When I am not lagging out of course ), but on LaG I ping around 20-35 which is GREAT! IT is a good server, the old platinum with a new, unbefitting name (because the server doesnt LaG at all).

Stupid Osama, he couldn't stop with world domination so now he has to come to CounterStrike and ruin that too.... what a shame.
