    Route 30 will suck through NE Illinois / northwest Indiana, its Chicago metro area, you will have lights every 3 blocks, and traffic will be bad. If you are going to do that, try to avoid the rush hour / after work time of hitting the border area for sure.

    When I was up in Denali this past summer the bugs were killer. Luckily it was cool enough to wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, gloves, a hat, and a bug mask the whole time...
