IMO, having admin rights is not so much a privilege as a responsibility. The best admin is one who uses his rights only when absolutely necessary.

I am a Christian and I know what the Bible says regarding homosexuality. I also know that as Christians, we are to hate the sin but love the sinner. I have/had a lot of homosexual friends in my life and they all know how I feel regarding that lifestyle. The also know that I treated them no differently than any other person. But to put the argument from the Bible aside, the main "reason" for sex is the propagation of the race. Homosexuality just doesn't fit into the equation anywhere. I mean, even simple instructions say "Insert Tab A into Slot B" not "Insert Tab A into Tab B".

Kirin, I spec'ed out the parts for the last computer I built but wasn't able to buy anything until about 2 months later. At that time I was able to up the CPU from an 1800+ to a 2100+ and was still paying less for the CPU. The longer you wait, the lower the prices will drop (sometimes more dramatically than you think) and you can either adust your spec's and get better stuff or get the original spec's and save some dough.

Don't worry about the Lite-On. It is a good brand. I have heard a lot that Plextor is higher quality, but Lite-On has consistently been right up there with it and cheeper to boot.

The TruePower PS has dedicated power for each rail (3.5v, 5v, and 12v) instead of the 3.5v and 5v sharing one. If the case comes with an Antec PS though, it should be good enough. I got a "Chieftec" case (an Antec Soho 6x series that comes with a Chieftec badge instead of and Antec one) and it came with a Turbolink PS and it was a piece of doggy poopoo. On the ram, you are best to run 2 DIMMS based on the architecture and if money is an issue, 256 is good. I just like to think of farther down the road.

Make sure the Power Supply that comes with the case is a good one. My suggestion would be to skip the Case/PS combo and buy a case and PS separately. I like the Antec TruePower PS's. If you can swing it, get 2-512MB of ram instead of 2-256MB otherwise, when you upgrade ram later, you might have to replace the 256 MB modules all together.

Well, just updated my BIOS with the lastest official ASUS version, 1016, and lo and behold, I have a 166 MHz option for my fsb...so it looks like, although Asus isn't going to support it, I will get quite a bit more life out of this mobo. Still gonna wait til later to get a new cpu though.

I hope you guys still have a private area. Personally, I think the AdMmmmin thought processes of certain decisions should be kept private. It is your server and your decisions. We just need to accept it. I appreciate you making yourselfs transparent here, just thinking some of the more serious issues, or issues that haven't been proven/validated are better kept on a need to know basis.
