When cake first told me about this I was pretty shocked and immediately thought 1-2day ban. However reading her post and applying my insane feminist views it makes sense in my head... So here's whats up This guy was playing on a server rackin up points so he can be the best and whatnot. Then cake joins and starts kicking his butt. From my studies I believe that this person thinks he holds a "power" position by being highly ranked on the server. When a "not as good" player (cake) joined and started beating him, he felt threatened because he was suppose to be the best. So to lack humiliation he decided to take advantage of flaws in the l4d2 system and cause damage to her team thus re-enforcing his "power" position. Believe it or not stuff like this is so common in society it's sickening. We are constantly bombarded with situations where abuse of perceived power runs rapid yet nobody does anything. I know this is not my server but stuff like this needs to be addressed and said player should know better having logged the most playtime on this server. I think the ban should be more like 5-7 days because a shorter ban is like a slap on the wrist.

As far as teamswitching I agree that it is a huge problem. I have sent jackie a couple ideas but I think we need to decide as a community on what to do about it. I am guilty of switching to the winning team because mine sucked so much, but I have gotten better at this and it is easier when there are other regulars in the game that help you relax. I suggest disabling switching to the winning team if the score is over a certain threshold (or maybe just in general?) Another thought, though not practical... is that when one person screws you over it suddenly becomes 9 or 8 v10 which isnt too bad, but the infected will slowly cut you down to 5v10 which is kind of ridiculous and not the way l4d2 was intended. In a normal 4v4 when 2 people die the round is pretty much over, however this is kinda disproportionate to a 5v10. A solution to this would to only allow a certain number of infected to spawn based on the number of survivors. ie: 5v7 or 6v8. Another option could be to raise the respawn time idk, what do others think?

Thanks Jackie/Admins Just so people understand where I come from and what makes me mad... I understand people can be raised in racist/sexist/homophobic environments and thus learned to express anger or hatred by associating bad with a sexual orientation or associating weak with a gender. The problem is when I/someone lets them know certain language insults them yet they continue to use it or escalate it to a personal attack as zimba did or as a couple of players did to blubeary a couple days ago. I am not afraid to speak up against injustices and am glad to play with a community that agrees with said logic. Again, thanks!

I did not have a chance to record this but it was extremely offensive, there was also another person insulting me via voice but I did not recognize the name. He said somethig about me liking to take it.. im not sure i understand this is an isolated incident and is hopefully not allowed on your servers. However I would like something done about this . Hey the server has some serious issues atm. At the end of a round everyone is kicked and has to rejoin. There are people on both teams but the server shuts down and restarts or something when a team finishes. May wanna fix that

As it currently is there are 22 open slots so 2 people can join as spectators if they are members. I will look into a way to have it show as 20 slots then if a member joins a full game it increases to 21 or something. Maybe this isnt possible but I think I saw something similar to this. Unless I'm mistaken you can only kick the 4 mains. This would allow you to kick all 10 players Ha I think the forum filter changed it... I put the g word =]

Hey y'all A lot of you know me, I recently joined gcftw and play on the l4d2 server. I have talked to jackiechan now and then about developing for the server as I am a pretty good programmer... and I would like to share some ideas about plugins and fixes for l4d2 I have. Also i will include links to plugins that exist but I think should be added. Not sure if they are already added Team Info I already started this. Essentially it gets around l4d2's 4 player issue in game info. It would allow you to type !teams and scroll through your team, enemy team and spectators [*]Fix the spectator slot reservation [*]A word filter ie chat. so "oh my this is so lame" would turn into "oh my this is so lame" [*] Votekick similar to the teaminfo plugin-- linky If you guys have any ideas I would love to hear them and maybe develop them. Let me know what you think

I had a g15 but replaced it for a g110. The lcd was kinda useless for me, and the g110 has simplicity yet 12 macro+media keys right where I need them

I admit I did jump to some quick conclusions. I also had mistaken some members for admins because of the !hat command. I too will think of some ways to even it. I'm currently playing on a server where its 10v4 -_- maybe that should autoscramble? Anyway Id like to join, I really do enjoy playing on the server and would like to help make it better.
