Guest zerodamage September 8, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests September 8, 2004 (edited) first: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html then: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html Finally to prevent the junk: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/sbdownload.html Then I would install this and disable unneccassary crap: http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml Then consider this for the heck of it: http://housecall.antivirus.com And lets not forget windows update via your Start Button You can also tweak up your xp services here: http://www.blackviper.com Edited September 8, 2004 by zerodamage

appalachian_fox December 3, 2004 Share appalachian_fox Member December 3, 2004 4mat? I concur. Remember the Three Ree's of Windows: 1) REstart. 2) REinstall. 3) REformat.
Guest zerodamage December 18, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests December 18, 2004 did this ever help Mag? A format & reinstall should only be done as a last resort. I've been doing spyware cleanup for a long time and i can tell you that a format/reinstall is only required about 5% of the time.

Primus February 5, 2005 Share Primus Member February 5, 2005 Soyware programs are just as important if not even more important as a good antivirus program. Spyware is out of control anymore, you almost have to have 2 or 3 of them to get them all. Try this one also its still in beta but its pretty good I think ZD posted a topic about it earlier if I'm not mistaken. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en
