akaM2 February 10, 2005 Share akaM2 Member February 10, 2005 Just to let you know Road Runner uped its speed from 3mbps to 5mbps last weekend. To get the upgrade you need to restart your modem by just unplugging for 1 minute and then plug it back in. Just letting you know because they didnt advertise it yet around her much, I work there so Im letting the cat out of the bag allitle.
General J February 10, 2005 Share General J Member February 10, 2005 Must be nice... In home high speed connections are fairly new to St. Louis, so any increase in speed you want, you have to pay.

Wolfsblood February 12, 2005 Share Wolfsblood Member February 12, 2005 (edited) Here's the best I got: 2988 :/ http://performance.toast.net/results.asp?t...&loadtime=1.109 Did all the power off/reboot stuff, but... I think before it was in the 24k range, so, yeah it's an increase, but not that much here. Yowza! did a test on a diff server, and w00t! http://www.dslreports.com/speedtests/48896....com/1108230539 4775 down, 116(?) up, which seems horribly skewed.... Fatty February 15, 2005 Share Fatty GC Founder February 15, 2005 Download speeds are one thing, but consistant gaming ping is another. That said, I haven't been too pleased with either on my DSL lately. Thursday I'll have RR installed again...and I'll have both cable and DSL for a month so I can compare.
