ok fro here is the config i am using. it may lower your graphics a little in game but its well worth it.

 

lux helped me out with this, hes the fricken man.

open notepad, copy and paste kilz post (below "hes the fricken man"), and save it as autoexec.cfg in the directory C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\your account here\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg

unless of course you don't want it to autoexec, then name it something you can remember.

 

in consol:

/exec "kilz.cfg"

these settings did help reduce overall choke and loss, but i still getten between 10-40 chokes and 10-20 loss. I gonna fool with my comp cause i never had problems with my usualy settings before the beginning of this week

well the human, that means u fro, lol, will only start to really notice choke after it is above 12 or so. 40 however, is way too much not to mention the loss. it is deffinately your connection. who is your provider and what do you have?

Ok, here is the deal. My provider is Charter (high speed) and i am on wireless. I know your going to say that wireless and this cable company is my problem. But, i never had issues with choke and loss before, so i dont understand how all of a sudden it could die out on me. I just realized that it could possible be a needed videocard update and i did find that my 5.09 catalyst is outa date and 5.11 is the new one. I dont know if this will make a difference but i will post back with my results. Also. i had cmdrate 100 instead of 101. I changed it to 101 and on 5.0 servers, my choke and loss went down to almost none from 20 or so. Could 1 digit change like that make a big difference?

dont think so... sim and i were talkin to someone and they lowered theres to like 20-30. crazy but they didnt have problems. right now i believe the glitch is in mani as it is updating and so on or somethin like that. i would imagine it would be fixed pretty soon. then you can go back to the l33t cfg.

Wireless probably is the cause of your loss. Just because it's good sometimes doesn't mean it won't start to give you issues as soon as someone breathes wrong. I've never understood cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate though, for some reason I can't push mine over around 40 without starting to see choke, no matter what I set my rate to.

umm...its not working...=(

 

i saved it as kilz.cfg in correct directory...

went to console and typed in exec kilz.cfg

console then says "couldnt exec kilz.cfg"

 

wut do i do?

i even tried doing the autoexec.cfg thing but nothin happens

 

EDIT: NVM, i got it to work =D

 

EDIT: i like it....but wut if i want to keep the dead bodies? wuts the command i change?
