ephemeral February 27, 2006 Share ephemeral Member February 27, 2006 for some reason, whenever my CPU is doing something, it starts to bleep. like whenever i'm ingame and i type an xfire, it makes a really loud beep, and also, this happens randomly throughout gameplay, and well as other applications/processes. does anyone have any idea how i can fix this? or what is even going on? any help would be appreciated. NOFX February 27, 2006 Share NOFX Member February 27, 2006 open up case, unplug internal speaker... i have a question for you though How come you only send me messages on aim when I've been idle for like 2+ hours. You do know if a persons name is greyed out, they havent been online for a while, you can actually click their name and see how long they have been gone. ephemeral February 28, 2006 Author Share ephemeral Member February 28, 2006 hmmm... is the internal speaker on the motherboard? is it a jumper or something? well, i'm not too smart, see... and so stuff which would be SO obvious, like greyed out text=gone, is nothing more than a mystery to me... but i'll kep that in mind ~~ (dancing smiley!) Cujo February 28, 2006 Share Cujo Member February 28, 2006 could your comp be overheating? usually there is a reason for pc speaker beeps.
ephemeral February 28, 2006 Author Share ephemeral Member February 28, 2006 lol, well, considering, my compy has an Intel 700mhz pent III E, i don't think it's over heating too bad. also, it only happens when i do several things at once, and the wierd thing is, everytime i send a message of any kind, IM, Xfire...whatever, it beeps. never fails to beep. it's super loud too, not this little thing you can look over. Vovik February 28, 2006 Share Vovik Member February 28, 2006 same stuff happens on p3's that i work with as lab consultant in my school. I'm guessing it's cause of overload to ram/cpu. time to upgrade, buddy
