Shazz March 4, 2006 Share Shazz Member March 4, 2006 Here it is...simple. I am looking at these 2 gaming keyboards. My number one priority is that the keyboard needs a Backlight!! I gotta be able to hunt down M2 with this thing. I can't see my keyboard here in my new office space with all the lights out. So I need one with a backlight on it. Here are the 2 keyboards that have caught my attention....please lead me to the light!!! Saitek (this puppy got fantastic reviews) http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/eclipse2.htm Logitech ( this one just looks sweet...don't know much about reviews though) http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products...CONTENTID=10717

DNA March 4, 2006 Share DNA Member March 4, 2006 G15...if you got the money. The G keys are GREAT, and the display is very cool, plus some nice lighted keys.
avengence March 4, 2006 Share avengence Member March 4, 2006 I use the G15... I LOVE the LCD screen. I have it set so I can see who is in the TS channel and who is currently talking. I also have it tell me which song is playing in winamp and my CPU usage, ram usage, net usage and other fun stuff like that. You can make it display anything you want really. Also the G keys are great, you can make them do anything you want. The backlight also looks really nice.
Shazz March 4, 2006 Author Share Shazz Member March 4, 2006 Glad to hear it Avengence. That is the one I was really wanting to get...but didn't know about all of those add ons. I thought about the G keys...binding them to fast buy in CS and what not. Can you do that?
avengence March 4, 2006 Share avengence Member March 4, 2006 Yea, you can set the keys to whatever you want. In the program it comes with you can set all that up. I tryed it before and it seemd to work well, some people have some scripts already set up. EbilDustBunny March 5, 2006 Share EbilDustBunny GC Alumni March 5, 2006 I still have yet to program my LCD... I'm so lazy.
avengence March 5, 2006 Share avengence Member March 5, 2006 Yea I use LCD Studio. Pretty much I have it set so it loads upon startup and then automatically loads the config of my choice using a playlist. Then it makes it so I can see what is playing in winamp, the date, the time, CPU usage, ram usage and most importantly net usage. It is a really neat program. avengence March 5, 2006 Share avengence Member March 5, 2006 Thats probably the worst part of it. Right now its says its mem usage is about 11,000K
ZesteR March 5, 2006 Share ZesteR Member March 5, 2006 My computer wont let me buy one of thost G15's... it has to worry about actual applications running (e.g. NetBeans) than worrying about a really really really really cool LCD display... ::notes this topic for future reference::
alvin March 5, 2006 Share alvin Member March 5, 2006 I use that saitek keyboard. It's very nice. I wanted the red one but.. i accidently got 5 blue case fans and a blue mouse.. so.. blue sounded like the better choice.. It's a very nice keyboard though. Just make sure you don't eat while you game or anything.. You'll see the food crumbs inside the keyboard and its ugly.. You can't take this keyboard apart either.. well.. its a pain.. i removed 20 screws or so and the thing still wouldn't come apart.. -_-
