stutters April 25, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni April 25, 2006 you all get free burrito's next time you're in walnut creek for keeping an eye out for this. a couple minutes after this was posted, i asked aim2game to watch the server for any unusual cpu or memory usage and they found none. since there has been no feedback prior to this and this one was so excessively bad, i'm optimistically thinking this was a major network fart that ironed itself out 3 minutes later. if you think you notice any more...make sure you get it verified by at least two more people --> "did you feel that too?" that helps rule out the possibility of a bad connection on just your end. anyrate, thanks again :hugs:
Cobalt April 26, 2006 Share Cobalt Member April 26, 2006 it didn't stop.9:10,9:40,a few small one later, but still there. I was in the server too when it happened? Gotta agree with you about the cause sj cause it seemed to be better like 5-ish minutes later.

mookie April 28, 2006 Share mookie GC Alumni April 28, 2006 I ask again, rubberbands? What is this? You do something (walk, fire, pull a nade) and the server snaps back like it never happened.

witt April 28, 2006 Share witt Member April 28, 2006 I ask again, rubberbands? What is this? It's like a rewind button in-game...except some jerk is controlling it and decides to do it when you throw a nade, so it snaps back 3 seconds and you toss it into a wall and kill yourself....<sigh>
stutters April 28, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni April 28, 2006 it's a curse that none of us should be talking about. it's going to hear, then come back.
Assassinator May 2, 2006 Share Assassinator Member May 2, 2006 So that's what that is!!! I have been wondering why that kind of stuff has been happening, I thought it was just weird lag spikes.
stutters May 2, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni May 2, 2006 yeah....there's the problem. a "rubberband" affects everyone on the server the same way. everyone feels it. a lag spike is a "rubberband" that ONLY you feel. from what i've seen, the true rubberband is no more.
