"tWc|Firestarter ( can ' t pub )" really steamed me tonight. He decided to start talkign trash to me for no apparent reason, on the mic and in text. When I responded he threatened to 'get me banned'. I asked him to trash talk with text so I could post it more easily, and he more or less stopped.

 

This is not a ban request, just documentation of this guys bad attitude and peurile behavior. He got into another mic battle with another person while I was on (don't remember who) so I don't think it's me.

 

It's too bad because I associate twc with good players. This guy doesn't seem to fit the mould of polite, respectful player.

 

(I was playing as 'Shiva the Destroyer' - I've been reading about Hinduism recently).

wow this is not the norm for my players. i will talk to him and i am sorry. just aim the bullet my way and i will put on my military issue flack vest and helmet, and hopefully i will survive the blast.

 

once again sorry, please forgive me and my guy. we are a happy and fun loving clan normally, maybe he was having a horrible day, (no excuse though, but you never know what is really going on in peoples normal lives at home. maybe a little of the bad day slipped out.

 

 

Sorry, once againl. much love to my shorties. i dont know what he could be to mad about, heck we are 2 and 0 in cal.

Unless there was something worse said afterward, this does not seem bad to me at all (maybe I missed something in his voice though :D). You're right that you donn't have to put up with being talked down to, but try to remember that a lot of people get used to a certain amount of friendly smack-talk flying around. I am of course just covering myself in case I ever tell you you throw HE nades like a girl. :peace:

I'm sure Fire was probably having a bad day or something; he usually doesn't talk like that. I'm sure he didn't mean it. On behalf of tWc, sorry if he was rude to you. Our members usually aren't like that.

Was it Firestarter who had this issue with Curse, or was it Spacelord? Either way, tsk tsk tWc, you lost so much class when I became a free agent :)
spacelord. if there was a 2nd complaint on the same person, this would thread would be in the "got banned" area.

I have more then made it clear to everyone in twc that we have no choice of who plays on GC server. If u are an admin and catch one of ours guys doing something pls warning them if the do it again kick and bann then me and whitey will personal take care of any unbanning if nessary after they explain what happen and only if the admin that did the ban agrees. Any twc menber banned from any GC server will have to explain there action to me and whitey before they are unbanned. Also any twc menber thats is banned and there reason for doing something is not good enough will either be suspended for a week or they will be kicked out end of story. Me & Whitey expect everyone of our guys to respect the rules even more so then any regular on the server because they know the rules and if they are breaking them they KNOW they are breaking them so there is no excuses. I wont say who but one menber has already tested me by flat out disrespecting other players and also cussing on the server He took a day off and was allowed to return under one condition, the next ban is premant from both gc and twc no execuses.

 

 

Back on topic

Firestarts doesnt look like a very bad offence but none the less he has to respect other players just as well as anyone else.

Apologies on behalf of tWc, especially if it got further out of hand then what was listed. No, we are not immune from .gc by any means john. We expect no special treatment, and there should be no reason for special treatment. Even in cal, we preach and practice to be respectful to the other teams we play, no matter how disrespectful or abusive they are to us. We believe in the highest standards, and everyone reading this can rest assured that Fire will have some explaining to do. Most of tWc is part of the .gc community, this is part of our larger "online family". We try our best to recruit the right people, everyone on our team has come from players on .gc servers after careful examination and watching in servers.

 

Everyone does have a bad day (which is still a weak excuse at best to get abusive on the servers, its easier to keep quiet than to take the time to talk and type), and I'm guessing there is more to the story, but if not, action will be taken on our behalf.

I'm really glad that I was made aware of this post by a fellow clan mate.

 

Shiva, I was disappointed in your behavior when you where playing, and I'm disappointed by your behavior now. This post is not only defamatory, it down right deceitful. Shame on you.

 

The fact of the matter is that on GC servers they try to encourage a good environment for people to enjoy themselves. They really do their best to remove anything that causes the kind of conflicts on other servers.

 

I stand firm with what I said while we were playing. First and foremost I honestly didn’t even realize there was a problem at first, since I do joke with most of the people that play on the server (and most of them joke with me since it’s such a laid back environment.)

 

But after a while I noticed that this guy was really serious and bothered by some really simple things, like what maps where in the rotations and why the admins wouldn’t change the map. (I think Steve was the admin on at the time.) But it started to rub me the wrong when Shiva continued on and on with his complaining. I asked him to stop several times and just play the game. In fact the admins that were on at the time asked for it all to stop. At which point I let it go. I even think that balance system switched him to another team for a while so I thought nothing of it.

 

But then it started to get out of hand. He switched back to my team and continued with his complaining. At which point I knew that there was something wrong with this guy because it really became harassment. Finally I came to the point where even I was offended when he took his harassment to the next level and used friendly fire against me just to harass me. At that point I told him he needs to cut it out because I would get him banned.

 

I love playing counter strike, but one thing that really ruins the experience for me is when people purposefully does things like that when they are bothered or are just not getting there way.

 

I at no point mentioned my clan, nor do I expect any special treatment because I’m in any clan. But since I really care about the community and the players who come and play here. In fact, when the admins are not on the server I warn people about porn spray and fool language / conducted.

 

I’m very sorry that I didn’t respond sooner as I normally spend most of my time in my clans forum and very little time on the rest of the GC forums.

 

Anyone who plays with me knows that this is how I behave on the server. I ask that you speak with any and all admins on the server and ask them about my behavior. Lately I have been playing with Dunlavy and Steve quite a bit.

John, if you find anything in the logs that substantiates things it might be worth hearing.

 

IMO however I'd would just drop Lunk in here with a usually "don't get your panties in a bind" and game on.

Hay thats been my feeling from the get go. Thats why i let it go in game and why i didn't complain to anyone when he said he was going to ban me.

i agree with that, but i don't. careful aim thought it was worth coming in and posting. he hasn't come back to say "oh, now i understand let's just move on." there's kind of like an outstanding grievance.

 

1.5 gigs worth of logs is still downloading. i'll look at em tomorrow.

I agree about panties. Better when not twisted.

 

The intentional TK assertion is quite serious though, and I'll respond to that. First, there was no TK, it was FF (IIRC about 10 points). It was not intentional. I recall the situation clearly: playing T's on de_dust, rush to A (left), they smoked and flashbanged, I was pointing vaguely toward the door when I went blind, I fired twice (shotty), and woke up dead. I tagged firestarter by accident, although non-lethally, and we were both killed by CT. Firestarter immediately started complaining on the mic, saying he'd get me banned. That went over the edge, and I decided to post.

 

De_dust is a meatgrinder, especially that left cooridor. This is one reason why I don't like the map. It strikes me as ignorant, not to mention unpleasent, to accuse someone of intentionally shooting you when there is extreme chaos in the dust rush-to-a meatgrinder.
