anonymo February 2, 2007 Share anonymo Member February 2, 2007 This Dell 30" LCD not only boasts some nice features, but also has a max resolution of 2560x1600...something I was totally ignorant to. As far as I know this is the only LCD that has a higher resolution than 1920x1200, too bad Dell neglects to mention its response time. Otherwise, at $1400 this is a steal! Just try and find a video card set-up that will support full framerates at 2560x1600
shaftiel February 2, 2007 Share shaftiel Member February 2, 2007 (edited) According to the reveiws its an awesome monitor... http://www.hothardware.com/viewarticle.asp...d=915&cid=2 Oh, and the response times are 8 ms (grey-to-grey) and 12 ms (black-to-black). Also they were using a 8800gtx video card. Shaftiel Edited February 2, 2007 by shaftiel
appalachian_fox February 2, 2007 Share appalachian_fox Member February 2, 2007 You also need to have a Dual-Link capable card (which I imagine most high-end cards are, these days). It won't work on just any DVI port.

Flitterkill February 10, 2007 Share Flitterkill GC Board Member February 10, 2007 $1400? Ye gods stop paying Dell list or pseudo list price Dell Outlet (refurb with no dead pixels - essentially new returns) kicks in at a grand. With coupons one can get even that straight up new $1400 down a few hundred as well. Many are waiting for the perfect storm of a Dell Outlet coupon plus 30" lcds in stock in the outlet to score some in the mid 6 to 7 hundred range. -Fk

anonymo February 13, 2007 Author Share anonymo Member February 13, 2007 to score some in the mid 6 to 7 hundred range. -Fk look for LCD's to be on the price drop...http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/20070205/lcd-prices.htm While prices should drop this summer, I have a feeling it will only be 17-19" FS that we'll really see deals on. 1920x1200 LCDs will more than likely remain just slightly too expensive.
